A capacidade do cérebro em interpretar os sons ao nosso redor de forma consciente e funcional denomina-se Processamento Auditivo Central. Pessoas com Distúrbio do Processamento Auditivo (DPAC) podem desenvolver problemas na alfabetização, memória, ou organização em geral, além de sérios problemas na aprendizagem musical. Portanto, o objetivo deste artigo é promover uma reflexão sobre a aprendizagem musical e sua relação com o processamento auditivo relatando o caso de uma aluna com DPAC inclusa em um contexto pedagógico musical de uma tradicional escola de música do Estado de São Paulo. O embasamento teórico foi retirado de artigos científicos publicados nas mais importantes bases de dados, bem como, de livros das áreas de música e processamento auditivo. Para o relato de caso, foram utilizadas as anotações das intervenções pedagógicas do prontuário da aluna de música. As discussões concluem que há uma grande relação entre a dificuldade de aprendizagem musical e o Distúrbio do Processamento Auditivo, como também, a possibilidade de diminuição dessas dificuldades a partir de intervenção terapêutica e pedagógica musical adequada.

Este artigo tem por objetivo fazer um mapeamento bibliográfico dos artigos acadêmicos nacionais e internacionais dos últimos cinco anos sobre a tríade neurociências, música e autismo, tanto no âmbito da educação musical, quanto da musicoterapia. Os descritores utilizados para a busca foram Music AND Autism AND Neurosciences em inglês e português. Como bancos de dados utilizamos: BIREME, LILACS, SciELO e PubMed. Texto deveriam ser encontrados na íntegra e de forma gratuita além de terem de forma explícita no título ou resumo que se tratava de uma pesquisa envolvendo música e autismo. Ao fim das buscas e análise nos critérios pré-determinados, encontramos 12 publicações, sendo 9 no PubMed publicados em inglês em diversas revistas internacionais e apenas dois trabalhos em português. Ao comparar o cenário nacional e internacional a partir desta breve pesquisa encontramos grandes discrepâncias numéricas e metodológicas apontando para a necessidade de fomento à pesquisa envolvendo conhecimentos neurocientíficos principalmente nas áreas das artes e ciências humanas.
Capacitismo é entendido como uma forma de preconceito direcionado às pessoas com deficiência. A discussão sobre esse tema é relativamente nova nos cursos superiores de música. Logo, este artigo tem o objetivo de discutir o capacitismo e inclusão no contexto de um curso de Licenciatura em Música, a partir do relato de experiência da autora que tem Disfonia Espasmódica. A discussão foi realizada a partir da literatura encontrada sobre o tema e da experiência pessoal da autora. Os resultados apontam para o quanto as discussões sobre inclusão e capacitismo ainda caminham lentamente dentro do ensino superior de música, apesar das Leis, diretrizes internas e projetos da universidade voltados para a inclusão de pessoas com deficiência, transtornos e síndromes raras. Esperamos que este trabalho possa contribuir com a ampliação da bibliografia específica na área de acessibilidade, inclusão e capacitismo, bem como, na formação de professores de música no ensino superior no que diz respeito à diversidade em sala de aula.
Projetos e pesquisas na área de tecnologia musical, luthieria acessível e adaptações instrumentais precisam ser mais fomentadas se queremos, de fato, uma sociedade mais inclusiva e se desejamos oferecer os mesmos direitos de estudo e campo de atuação musical para pessoas com e sem deficiências. Sendo assim, este artigo apresenta 3 instrumentos musicais criados/adaptados eletronicamente para pessoas com dificuldades motoras ou cognitivas. Tais instrumentos foram desenvolvidos dentro de um projeto de extensão do Departamento de Música da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, em 2018. O projeto teve por objetivos desenvolver instrumentos musicais acessíveis e alternativos para públicos que contemplam a diversidade. O embasamento teórico principal foi a Tecnologia Assistiva que visa promover adaptações para pessoas com deficiências e a metodologia do artigo é um relato de experiência. O resultado aqui apresentado descreve e indica possíveis aplicabilidades para os instrumentos criados: “teclado para os pés, bongô eletrônico e metalofone eletromagnético”.
