<p>A Tuberculose é a doença que mais mata no mundo, possuindo um alto índice de prevalência e de mortalidade. Sendo assim, este trabalho tem como finalidade a realização da prospecção científica e tecnológica de pesquisas sobre a tuberculose no Maranhão e o uso medicinal da planta <em>Copaifera langsdorffii</em> contra a doença. Na busca de patentes, foram utilizadas as bases: INPI, Espacenet, USPTO e Web of Science; e os artigos nas bases: Scielo, Bireme, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, ACS e Google acadêmico. Os resultados na busca de patentes sobre a tuberculose no Maranhão e o uso medicinal da planta copaíba foram negativos em relação a patentes publicadas, e, em relação aos artigos, o resultado foi bastante diferente, obteve-se uma grande quantidade de pesquisas relacionadas à tuberculose no Maranhão e ao uso da copaíba para o tratamento da tuberculose. É visível o incentivo para o aumento de pesquisas nessa área comprovando a veracidade da planta para o tratamento da tuberculose.</p><p id="docs-internal-guid-aee22282-7fff-06f8-35ed-a74fa07e448c" dir="ltr"><span><br /></span></p>
Cadmium is a toxic metal from 12th group and 5th period of the periodic table. It’s common its use in batteries manufacturing and metal alloys production. It is absorbed by the organism of animals and plants causing risks to human health by bioaccumulation. Even with proven levels of toxicity, complexes involving this atom have biological activity according to several studies. As a study methodology, data were prospected in different databases for patents and the scientific papers published in the period up 1962 to 2021. Only 3 patents were found regarding the biological activity of complexes containing cadmium, although 3.257 results have been found for Cd (II) articles. The database with the highest number of published articles was Scifinder with 63% (2.037) of the articles. Few articles approached anthelmintic activity, showing that future research related to chemical substances containing this metal is a possibility in the new anthelmintic drugs investigation.
Deficiency in sanitary sewage services, mainly in sewage collection and treatment services, results in inadequate sewage disposal in receiving water bodies. This work analyzes the physicochemical and microbiological conditions of Grajaú river for the preponderant bathing conditions established for bathing defined by CONAMA Resolution 274/00. Grajaú, Prainha (P1), Canecão (P2) and Porto do Limoeiro (P3). Physicochemical analyzes of color, chloride, total hardness, alkalinity, pH and microbiological were carried out, through the indicators of the group of total coliforms and (E. coli), using the ALFAKIT methodology in the points. The result was close to 3uH, which allows us to say that the color of the water is within the references required by Conama 357/05. The total alkalinity was 300 mg.L-1 CaCO3, which allows us to conclude that the water of the Grajaú river is hard. The pH in the three samples did not change, it remained 8.0 in the three points, in view of this, these parameters are in accordance with the references of CONAMA n° 274/00. Through this study it was possible to observe that the river waters, based on the indicator, are within the accepted standards for bathing. Still, through this study, it was possible to conclude that it becomes increasingly necessary to monitor the public power facing the Grajaú river, considering that it can be observed that leisure spots are much sought after by the population.
