Kratak sadržajUvod. Magnetna rezonanca (MR) je pouzdana metoda u detekciji epileptogenih lezija, ali postoje podijeljena mišljenja o dijagnostičkoj vrijednosti MR jačine magnetnog polja 3,0T u odnosu na 1,5T. Cilj rada je bio da se utvrdi senzitivnost i specifičnost MR jačine magnetnog polja 3,0T za detekciju i karakterizaciju epileptogenih lezija u odnosu na MR 1,5TMetod. Od juna 2013. do maja 2014. godine u Zavodu za kliničku radiologiju UKC R. Srpske pregledano je 58 ispitanika na oba MR uređaja po protokolu za epilepsiju. Nalaze su nezavisno opisivala dva radiologa i konsenzusom došli do referentnog nalaza. Upoređivanjem promjena otkrivenih na oba aparata za MR sa referentnim standardom odredili su senzitivnost i specifičnost MR 1,5T i 3,0T za detekciju i karakterizaciju lezija.Rezultati. Konsenzusom su identifikovane 72 referentne, potencijalno epileptogene promjene kod 50 bolesnika. Nije utvrđena značajna razlika u broju identifikovanih lezija niti u karakterizaciji lezija između dva radiologa pri pregledu nalaza dobijenih na MR 1,5T i 3,0T. Podjednaka senzitivnost MR (0,986) u detekciji epileptogenih lezija u odnosu na referentni standard je zabilježena za nalaze oba radiologa i na MR 1,5T i 3,0T. Specifičnost MR u detekciji lezija je bila nešto niža kod prvog nego drugog radiologa samo na 3,0T (0,75 vs. 0,875). Senzitivnost i specifičnost MR u karakterizaciji epileptogenih lezija iznosila je za nalaze prvog radiologa 0,91, odnosno 0,87 na MR 1,5T, a 0,97, odnosno 0,75 na 3,0T. Senzitivnost (0,94) i specifičnost (0,87) MR u karakterizaciji lezija kod drugog radiologa su bile jednake i na MR 1,5T i 3,0T.Zaključak. Nije utvrđena statistički značajna razlika u senzitivnosti i specifičnosti MR jačine magnetnog polja 3,0T u odnosu na 1,5T u detekciji i karakterizaciji epileptogenih lezija. Performanse MR kod evaluacije epilepsije više zavise od adekvatnog protokola i obučenosti radiologa nego od jačine magnetnog polja MR uređaja.
