Environmental cognition is a multidisciplinary concept in nature. It is an emerging concept of cognitive and social psychology. It indicates that how people hold the perceptions and attitudes towards their own ecological surroundings and how these perceptions, cognitions, and attitudes develop over time. Moreover, this concept refers to the fact that how individual's structure, their thinking about environmental issues, how are these cognitions acquired, and how do they influence behaviors regarding nature? Environmental awareness is a burning issue of the 21st century. If we still not became aware of the challenges of environments; the day is not far away from where we ruin our planet by our own hands. Environmental awareness is a very important issue to promote sustainable development and encourages conservation of natural resources. Environmental awareness essentially serves as an educational tool, helping people to understand the importance of preserving natural resources. Moreover, it helps people to understand the consequences of anti-nature activities.Keeping this reality makes researcher anxious to do something as an obligation regarding our own planet. The researcher has developed an own model and it employed on 85 college students. The SSC model refers Story, Speech, and Counseling. The present research has undergone through pre and posttest repeated measure design. At the first phase, the 85 college students ranged in an age of 18 to 25 years were selected by convenience accidental sampling method. They were administered scale as follows: 1 EACS-Ecological Attitude and Cognitive Science, 2. EPAS-Environmental Pollution Attitude Scale, 3. EKT-Environmental Knowledge Test, 4. EES-Environmental Ethics Scale, 5. APAS-Air Pollution Attitude Scale, 6. EAS-Environmental Attitude Scale. After a month they were gathered for an interactive session in which researcher have delivered an environmental awareness lecture by using little stories. Moreover, researcher provides a personal guidance and counseling to the participated students. In the post test condition, participated students again administered the previous scales. The obtained data was analyzed through't' test. The results revealed a significant difference in pre and posttest conditions. The results are discussed in the full paper [1].
Rape and violence against women are a massive problem in India. Among the various cities in India the highest number of rapes reported in metropolitan cities rather than small cities. Not only sexual offences are remarkably grown up in cities but in a rural area also. Rape victims in India, especially in a rural area often subject to shaming and considered not suitable for married life and the life of victim became destroyed. The study aimed to find a high degree of sexual violence among students and provide them with a systematic intervention to control their sexual motives. In the study, 500 students were surveyed and administered Sexual Violence Scale and 34 students were found with a high degree of sexual violence tendency. These students were randomly divided into two groups viz. experimental and control. The experimental group adults were provided a sex management programme for two months while the control group adults didn’t provide any programme. After a two months period, both groups were readministered Sexual Violence Risk Scale. The obtained data were analysed through t statistic. The significant difference was found between the two groups. It was found that the degree of sexual violence significantly decreased among experimental group adults.
Aggressive behavior in sports and group performance is critical in today's scenario. Self-efficacy can play a crucial role in aggressive behavior. Hence, to test this assumption study was undertaken to assess the association between self-efficacy and aggression. It was hypothesized that self-efficacy and aggression are positively and significantly related to each other. This study's sample contained 80 students, and they were recruited from Dr. Ghali College, Gadhinglaj. The sampling technique was non probability sampling in which everyone doesn’t have the same chance for being chosen as a sampling. This study administered self-efficacy measure using the scale by G. P. Mathur and Dr. Raj Kumari Bhatnagar and aggression scale by G. P. Mathur and Dr. Raj Kumari Bhatnagar to 40 male and 40 female college students. Obtained data were analyzed by Student t-test and PPMCC test. Results revealed that there is a significant sex difference in self-efficacy and aggression. Moreover, the association between self-efficacy and aggression among college students was also found significant.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
