O objetivo desse estudo foi verificar possíveis diferenças nos níveis de Identidade Atlética em relação ao sexo biológico e esquemas de gênero do autoconceito de homens e mulheres praticantes de crossfit. Participaram do estudo 102 sujeitos (52 mulheres e 50 homens). Foram avaliadas questões socioeconômicas, prática de exercício físico, esquemas de gênero do autoconceito e identidade atlética. Não houve associação entre identidade atlética e esquemas de gênero do autoconceito, bem como não foram encontradas diferenças significativas na identidade atlética quando comparados os esquemas de gênero do autoconceito e sexo biológico. Conclui-se no presente estudo que não existem diferenças entre os sexos e entre os esquemas de gênero do autoconceito no nível de identidade atlética e que o motivo primário da busca pela prática do crossfit é fator saúde.
