A atividade pesqueira possui importância na economia da região costeira no Estado do Pará, nesse contexto, encontra-se o município de Augusto Correa, um dos principais pontos de desembarque pesqueiro. O município é um dos maiores pólos exportadores de lagosta do Estado, porém, poucos estudos sobre outras pescarias e espécies desembarcadas foram realizados e publicados, com isso, procuramos entender a pesca do município. A metodologia aplicada consistiu em entrevistas semi-estruturadas nos portos do município durante doze meses em 2018, com pescadores, mestres e armadores, utilizando formulários específicos, discorrendo informações sobre as embarcações e apetrechos, acompanhamento de desembarques e análise de documentos referentes a produção com os armadores. De posse dos dados, houve a caracterização das principais categorias de embarcação atuante e principais apetrechos. Comparamos as médias mensais desembarcadas por meio da análise de variância (p<0,05); avaliou-se também, as principais espécies que compõem a comunidade de pescado desembarcada, com isso, determinar as associações faunísticas entre as mesmas, a partir da variação temporal dos desembarques, através da análise de agrupamento Cluster analysis. Os barcos de pequeno porte (BPP) foram a principal categoria de embarcação pesqueira; a rede serreira, sendo o principal apetrecho, seguida do espinhel de fundo e manzuá; a serra Scomberomorus brasiliensis é a principal espécie em abundância, e outras vinte e oito espécies compõem a estrutura da comunidade íctica; não houve diferenças significativas entre as produções médias mensais (p=0,99; p>0,05). O agrupamento revelou a presença de onze subgrupos faunísticos distintos, constituídos de espécies com semelhanças nos desembarques ao longo do tempo.
