Objetivo: Determinar a prevalência das disfunções sexuais femininas em amostra de mulheres atendidas em ambulatório de ginecologia. Métodos: Estudo observacional, transversal e analítico de abordagem quantitativa envolvendo 170 mulheres sexualmente ativas entre 18 e 65 anos em ambulatório de ginecologia. A essa população foi aplicado o questionário Female Sexual Function Index. Resultados: Dessa amostra total, 15 pacientes não preencheram o questionário corretamente, portanto seus dados foram retirados do estudo. Das 155 pacientes que preencheram o formulário de forma completa, 53,5% tiveram pontuação abaixo de 26.5, que corresponde a 83 mulheres. A média de idade foi 40.5 anos, entre as mulheres que relataram estarem em menopausa, 60,4% delas pontuaram abaixo da nota de corte. Quanto à relação conjugal, 32 pacientes, que pontuaram abaixo de 26.5, classificaram seu relacionamento como “um pouco infeliz”, “bastante infeliz” ou “extremamente infeliz”. Dentre os domínios avaliados, o “desejo” e “excitação” foram os menos pontuados. Evidências de correlação foram estabelecidas entre “relação conjugal'' e os dados referentes à “satisfação” - “FSFI” - “excitação”; sendo os valores 0.51(p<0,001), 0.44(p<0,001) e 0.36(p<0,001), respectivamente. O domínio sexual “satisfação”, também demonstrou indicativos de correlação inversa com as variáveis “idade” e “gestações”, -0.35(p<0,001)e -0.30(p<001), consecutivamente. Conclusão: Este estudo identificou uma alta prevalência de disfunções sexuais femininas na amostra de mulheres entrevistadas, bem como diversos fatores relacionados ao maior risco de disfunção sexual. Dentre eles, destacam-se: o relacionamento conjugal, a menopausa e o número de gestações, os quais afetam a experiência sexual da mulher, comprometendo o equilíbrio e o dinamismo da saúde sexual.
