In RESUMEN:En El llano en llamas la multiplicación de puntos de vista propicia una reflexión sobre las potencialidades y los peligros de un sentido ambiguo. Mediante un multiperspectivismo que enfatiza lo discontinuo, Rulfo nos invita a meditar acerca de la violencia inherente al encuentro entre diferentes y acerca de los modos en que la coerción y el silenciamiento del otro funcionan como pilares en la construcción de sentidos hegemónicos.PALABRAS CLAVE: Perspectiva, ley, hegemonía, violencia, narrador.La multiplicación de voces narrativas y de silencios característica de El llano en llamas -publicado por primera vez por el Fondo de Cultura Económica en 1953-genera relatos cargados de ambigüedad. Al mismo tiempo, sin embargo, una de las constantes que atraviesa estos relatos es la fragilidad de lo ambiguo; la fragilidad de ese estar-endiscusión (según la etimología de "ambigüedad") que los personajes procuran cancelar lo antes posible. Mientras que las estructuras narrativas de Rulfo, a partir de aquella multiplicación de perspectivas y silencios, producen un sentido opaco y oscilante, muchos de sus personajes actúan, por el contrario, movidos por un afán de resolución tajante. Son numerosos los cuentos en los que alguno de ellos anula de manera violenta -en el nivel de la anéc-dota-las dudas que el lector, por su parte, es incapaz de superar. Relatos ambiguos de la lucha contra la ambigüe-dad, los textos de Rulfo invitan a reflexionar acerca de las relaciones y las violencias que se entablan entre diferentes voces y sus respectivas exigencias de justicia.La pregunta por lo ambiguo -por la postergación del sentido único-converge con la pregunta por la ley y la justicia. El análisis que Jacques Derrida dedica a este problema guía gran parte de este artículo. Baste por ahora con adelantar que un lenguaje sin ambigüedad, transparente, permitiría calcular con precisión el alcance de las leyes propias de cada universo narrativo, y que el lenguaje de Rulfo, en cambio, exige que toda decisión interpretativa atraviese un momento de indecibilidad. Este momento, según Derrida, es una condición indispensable de toda decisión que se quiera justa. Los relatos de El llano en llamas, en alguna medida, se proponen la cuidadosa construcción de conflictos indecidibles (y decididos de manera injusta y sangrienta). En tanto que sucesión de diálogos truncos, diferencias funestas y desacuerdos sangrientamente dirimidos, estos relatos escenifican el modo en que la coerción y el silenciamiento del otro funcionan como pilares en toda construcción de hegemonía y sentido. Pero la ambigüedad que los caracteriza, al mismo tiempo, lleva en sí también cierto poder de redención: el que permitiría remontar el curso de las decisiones tomadas para así recuperar voces perdidas y alcanzar decisiones más justas.
