A estabilização físico-química de solos é uma alternativa quando é necessária uma melhoria em suas propriedades geotécnicas. Solos de matriz arenosa podem não ser capazes de serem estabilizados a partir da adição única de cal, pois apresentam pouca ou nenhuma presença de argilominerais capazes de desenvolver as reações pozolânicas responsáveis pela alteração das características originais dos solos. Em função disso, se faz necessária adição de material pozolânico que venha a suprir essa ausência. Nesse caso, a cinza de casca de arroz se apresenta como um recurso à ser utilizado. O trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar a alteração das propriedades mecânicas do solo natural a partir de diversas dosagens em peso seco de misturas solo-cinza-cal. Foi considerado um índice de adição pozolânica (R) como sendo a razão em peso de cinza e areia. Foram analisados diversos índices de reatividade com teores de cal hidratada entre 3% e 9%. Por fim, constatou-se que a mistura com R de 0,25 e 7% de cal apresentou resistência à compressão simples de 4,4 MPa, sendo considerada uma elevada resistência para uma baixa adição de porção cinza-cal.
