This research is based on the problem of students' ability in composing explanatory texts. Arranging explanatory texts is a new material in Indonesian language learning in the 2013 curriculum. The use of problem-based learning methods is a learning strategy that not only involves teachers, but also involves students in the learning process because problem-based learning is one of the innovative learning methods that provide learning conditions active with students in real world conditions. This study aims to find out the effectiveness, improvement, ability, and significant differences in the use of problembased learning methods in learning through explanatory texts. The hypothesis proposed by the author is 1) the ability of class VII students before using the problem-based learning method is still low. Meanwhile, the ability of class VII students after using problem-based learning methods is better than before; 2) Effective problem-based learning methods are used in learning through explanatory texts; 3) there is a significant difference between the ability of students in composing explanatory texts before and after using the problem-based learning method. The research method used in this study was Experiments. The research design used was One Pretest-Postest Design Group. In this design there is a pretest before being given treatment and posttest after being given treatment. Thus, the results of the treatment can be known more accurately because it can compare the results of the test between before and after being treated. The pretest assessment results obtained an average value of 63 students, while the posttest scores obtained an average value of 77 students. Then there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores of 14. Problem-based learning methods can improve students' ability in learning to form explanatory texts. This is evidenced by the percentage of the difference in value increase of 14%. The difference is said to be significant if the results of calculations using the formula t obtained by the value of t arithmetic> t table on the confidence level of 95%. In this calculation it is proven that the value of t count> t table, namely t arithmetic (7.82)> t table (2.68). Therefore, the average difference between the two tests proved significant. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning method is considered effective in learning to compose explanatory texts.
This study is motivated by the low basic literacy problem of children. Based on news from Republika (Darma, 2020) states that the ability to process information through literacy or literacy culture in Indonesian society is very low. Chairman of the Indonesian Literacy Culture Development Forum Satria Darma said, based on research results from international institutions, the literacy culture of the Indonesian people is very low compared to other countries in the world. The reading position of Indonesian students ranks 57th out of the 65 countries studied (PISA). "PISA said, the literacy results of students in Indonesia are below level three and one, only 0.4% have literacy level four," he said. Based on these problems the researchers were moved to conduct a study about family education in strengthening basic literacy in children. in order to contribute to knowledge about how family education is to strengthen basic literacy in children. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, the problems in this study are described clearly based on the theory of family education in strengthening literacy in children so that they become provisions in educating children. from this research, it produces knowledge and ways to educate families to strengthen basic literacy in children.
Sociological study of literature is an analysis of literary works using a sociological approach to see therelationship between Tuhan Izinkan Aku Menjadi Pelacur TIAMP's novel work and realistic facts orfacts contained in the TIAMP novel, where literature is part of the description of the realities of sociallife. Literature will die without the presence of people that exist in literature. The author of the novelis an author who is also a member of society. In the story, the literary work presents the social realityof life that occurs in society in a story with a few economic, social, political, cultural, artistic andother problems. Of course, it contains the noble values of culture if we examine more deeply. In thisstudy, the researcher will examine the study of literature and society that touches the problems ofliterature and society in the political, economic, religious, and social aspects contained in the facts ofthe story in the novel and will describe the influence of society on problems in the TIAMP novel seenfrom the economic, political aspects. , religion, and social and from the analysis of the novel carriedout a parameterized assessment of the didactic study, so that the dictatorship of the TIAMP novel wasillustrated. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The researcher will describe thefacts of the story in the novel related to problems in the economic, religious, and social aspects andthe people's perspective in solving the problems in the novel Lord Let Me Be a Pelacur. The results ofthis study can find the intertwined relationship between literature and society sociologically in termsof economic, social, and religious aspects.
