Vusterling Die kontrasexuelle Hormontherapie hat heute ihren festen Platz in der Behandlung des Prostatakarzinoms. Uber die günstige Beeinflussung fortgeschrittener Mammakarzinome und deren Metastasen liegen zahlreiche Berichte vor. Weniger umfangreich sind die Erfahrungen mit der Hormontherapie der Krebse des weiblichen Genitale, die durch Operation oder Bestrahlung nicht mehr beeinflußt werden können. Das Muttergewebe dieser Karzinome steht in besonderer Abhängigkéit von der Wirkung der Sexualhormone. Die Bedeutung des Follikeihormons für die Krebsentstehung wird immer wieder diskutiert. Zahlreiche tierexperimentelle Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, daß nur bei Vorliegen eines genetischen Faktors, d. h. bei vorhandener Disposition durch das Follikelhormon mit seiner spezifischen organotropen Wirkung die Manifestation eines Mammakarzinoms beschleunigt werden
