(Pyralidae) tu6s par une exposition hun rayonnement ultraviolet. Chez la premiere esp6ce, cette proie de substitution pr6sente une valeur alimentaire comparable sice nest pas sup6rieure ~ celle du puceron Acyrthosiphonpisum (Harris). Ces r6sultats permettent d'envisager, d~s ~t pr6sent, une production massive dans ces conditions trophiques. La mise en place d'un 61evage continu d6pend de l'6volution sur un grand nombre de g6n6rations de certains param~tres biologiques notamment de la fertilit6 des femelles. Chez la seconde esp~ce, une telle application para~t impossible pour l'instant.
Le pyrimicarbe est un insecticide conseillé pour la lutte contre les pucerons en raison de son innocuité à l'égard des entomophages notamment des prédateurs. Des larves âgées (L 4) de la coccinelle Semiadalia undecimnotata Schneider, traitées dès la mue à l'aide d'une solution dont la concentration correspond à la dose commerciale, ne présentent par une mortalité anormale par rapport à des larves témoins mais subissent des troubles physiologiques temporaires qui affectent la consommation alimentaire, l'utilisation métabolique des proies et la croissance pondérale. Ces troubles qui se manifestent dès les premières heures après le traitement disparaissent ensuite en raison, probablement, de l'existence chez les larves d'un processus d'élimination ou de détoxification de la molécule insecticide. L'augmentation de la durée moyenne du stade permet aux larves traitées d'atteindre un poids final comparable à celui des larves témoins et se traduit par une consommation alimentaire totale légèrement supérieure à celle de ces dernières. Par contre, le rythme des prises alimentaires en fonction du temps n'est pas modifié et les relations linéaires entre la consommation alimentaire cumulée et le poids frais des individus persistent.
