RESUMO Dermatofibrossarcoma protuberans (DFSP) é uma neoplasia maligna da pele de caráter insidioso, extremamente agressivo localmente, e raramente apresentando metástases à distância. É um tumor raro, correspondendo a menos de 0,1% de todas as neoplasias. Sua incidência maior é em indivíduos do sexo masculino na faixa etária de 20 a 40 anos. O diagnóstico clínico é extremamente difícil, e baseia-se principalmente em critérios histopatológicos. O tratamento é exclusivamente cirúrgico, devendo seguir à risca as margens, uma vez que a recidiva é frequente. Este artigo tem como objetivo descrever um relato de caso de uma paciente jovem, apresentando lesão em couro cabeludo com três recidivas, mesmo após exérese cirúrgica ampla, enfatizando a relevância desta neoplasia no sentido de alertar as possíveis e constantes recidivas.
