As principais medidas de enfrentamento a pandemia da Covid-19 são embasadas no distanciamento e isolamento social. Estas medidas visam diminuir a possibilidade de contaminação, a demanda por serviços de saúde e o número de óbitos. Apesar dos benefícios que traz, o isolamento social implica, muitas vezes, na vivência de situações desagradáveis que podem ocasionar impactos na saúde mental dos envolvidos. Portanto, este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar o impacto da Covid-19 na qualidade de vida dos idosos, visto que a população mais idosa, fazem parte do grupo com maiores riscos de desenvolverem a forma grave da doença. O presente estudo é do tipo exploratório-descritivo, com caráter quantitativo e caracterizado no âmbito dos estudos métricos de informação, especialmente a cienciometria. Deste modo, buscou-se o entendimento da dimensão de estudos científicos no campo da Covid-19 e seu impacto na qualidade de vida dos idosos, dando ênfase para o atual estado da arte. Com o intuito de atender ao objetivo proposto, foi empregado o método bibliométrico Proknow-C, para selecionar artigos relevantes sobre o impacto da Covid- 19 na qualidade de vida dos idosos. Após uma extensa pesquisa bibliográfica, o estudo atual confirmou a saúde mental e as atividades físicas sendo prejudicadas no presente cenário pandêmico, implicando a importância de gerenciar esses problemas e cuidar continuamente a assistência em saúde nas pessoas idosas. A partir dos presentes achados, podemos concluir que existe uma forte associação entre o impacto da Covid-19 na saúde mental e nas atividades físicas dos idosos.
