Resumo: Introdução: A suspensão das atividades escolares e o confinamento de crianças e adolescentes com TDAH (Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade) em suas casas durante a pandemia afetou o desenvolvimento psicomotor e a saúde mental desses jovens. Crianças e adolescentes desse grupo são especialmente vulneráveis à situação de isolamento. Desse modo, o objetivo geral desta revisão literária é descrever as consequências neurológicas e cognitivas que esse público sofreu devido à pandemia da COVID-19. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de artigos indexados nas bases de dados PubMed, BVS, Scopus, SpringerLink e ScienceDirect. Os critérios de inclusão e filtros para esse trabalho foram: artigos relacionados ao tema, trabalhos em humanos, realizados nos últimos 5 anos, apenas nas línguas Português, Francês, Inglês e Espanhol e com texto completo disponível. Os parâmetros de exclusão foram: artigos duplicados, fuga ao tema, textos de revisão e trabalhos não disponíveis. Além disso, a seleção foi realizada por pares e o coeficiente de kappa foi igual a K = 0.760. Resultados: O confinamento afetou negativamente os jovens com TDAH, pois contribuiu na intensificação da sintomatologia do transtorno. As principais mudanças relatadas foram alterações de comportamento, problemas com humor e distúrbios de sono. Porém, medidas como aconselhamento familiar por equipe multiprofissional e acompanhamento médico para monitorização de alterações sintomatológicas desses pacientes podem ajudar a minimizar esses efeitos. Discussão: Semelhante à literatura, foram descritas consequências do enclausuramento nos aspectos relacionados à irritabilidade e aos padrões oníricos nas crianças e nos adolescentes com TDAH. Entre as medidas para abrandar essas sequelas viu-se que o tratamento farmacológico deve ser constante, associado à cooperação da família. Conclusão: O isolamento social agravou os sinais neurológicos e psiquiátricos em crianças e adolescentes com TDAH. O aconselhamento médico e a monitorização das mudanças clínicas são formas de amenizar os efeitos da pandemia nesse grupo.
Introdução: A enxaqueca é prevalente em 18% da população, sendo mais frequente em mulheres. Os portadores da migrânea desenvolvem sintomas crônicos e incapacitantes, que reduzem a produtividade no trabalho e prejudicam o convívio social. Apesar da importância clínica e epidemiológica, há poucos estudos sobre a relação entre migrânea e sua influência em distúrbios cerebrovasculares, sendo uma situação de difícil entendimento e tratamento para os profissionais que trabalham na área. O objetivo dessa revisão será entender a associação entre a enxaqueca e os distúrbios cerebrovasculares. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, usando artigos das bases de dados PubMed, BVS, Scielo, Cochrane e Scopus. Foram incluídos estudos realizados com humanos e animais nos últimos 10 anos, nos idiomas Português, Inglês e Espanhol. Os parâmetros de exclusão foram: artigos duplicados, fuga ao tema, revisões e trabalhos não disponíveis. O coeficiente de Kappa não foi calculado. Resultados: Apesar da discordância sobre a fisiopatologia vascular da enxaqueca, os estudos convergem acerca da prevalência de Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), Ataque Isquêmico Transitório (AIT) e Amnésia Global Transitória (AGT) nos pacientes com migrânea, em especial naqueles com aura. Topiramato e os bloqueadores de cálcio apresentaram menores riscos. Discussão: Prevalência na população enxaquecosa de AVC Isquêmico e Hemorrágico, AGL e AIT, com possível relação entre esses achados e a presença do Forame Oval Patente (PFO), aura e idade do paciente. Deve-se haver cuidados no tratamento medicamentoso, evitando a piora dos sintomas. Conclusão: Encontrou-se associação entre migrânea e distúrbios cerebrovasculares, especialmente nos casos com aura e em correlações fisiopatológicas relacionadas ao PFO, às embolias paradoxais e às disfunções de coagulação.
Introdução: A pandemia de COVID-19 impôs distanciamento social e interferiu na rotina de crianças e adolescentes com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). Dessa forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar os impactos da pandemia no público-alvo descrito. Metodologia: Trata-se de revisão integrativa, cuja questão norteadora foi: “Como a pandemia da Covid-19 influenciou o cotidiano das crianças e adolescentes com TEA?”. A busca de artigos foi realizada no primeiro semestre de 2021 nas bases PubMed, BVS, ScienceDirect e Springerlink, com análise inicial de títulos e resumos de modo duplo-cego (Kappa=0,884). Resultados: Após procura nas bases de dados e aplicação de filtros e critérios de inclusão e exclusão, foram selecionados 21 artigos. Os estudos apontaram dificuldades na implementação do uso de equipamentos de proteção individual (EPI), falta de suporte por parte de instituições educacionais, aumento na ansiedade, dentre outras. Porém, alguns trabalhos identificaram melhoras no desenvolvimento das crianças e adolescentes com tais transtornos. Uma das estratégias usadas para contornar a situação foi o teleatendimento para a manutenção de terapias. Discussão: A pandemia gerou impacto na vida das jovens com TEA e o isolamento social piorou as dificuldades já existentes. A melhoria no desenvolvimento de alguns indivíduos foi constatada, sendo isso atribuído à maior integração familiar. A adaptação da rotina por meio da tecnologia para estudos, comunicação com familiares e acesso a tratamentos mostrou-se útil, embora as necessidades nem sempre sejam atendidas e verifique-se a presença de dificuldades financeiras, atrapalhando a continuidade dos planos terapêuticos. A situação pandêmica também é piorada devido à sobrecarga dos cuidadores e à dificuldade da implementação do uso de EPIs. Conclusão: A pandemia impactou a rotina das crianças e adolescentes com TEA, trazendo a necessidade de adaptação por meio do uso de tecnologias e adequação de rotina.
Introdução: A utilização de tecnologias em saúde mostra-se cada vez mais presente na contemporaneidade, com aplicações em campos de pesquisa, diagnóstico, tratamento, predição de desfechos, entre outros. Em um cenário de inovações tecnológicas e procura de solução de problemas em saúde, observa-se, de forma crescente, a presença de termos como inteligência artificial, redes neurais e gêmeos digitais. Entretanto, as escolas médicas parecem estar desatualizadas quanto ao ensino desses tópicos. Relato: A atividade “Connect” foi realizada por estudantes de medicina, a fim de disseminar conteúdos que abordassem a utilização de tecnologias na área médica, visando, por meio do evento, estimular o interesse de outros alunos. Foram realizados 5 encontros síncronos via Google Meet, que abordaram os seguintes temas: Inteligência Artificial; Data Science; Tecnologia em Saúde; Redes Neurais; Tecnologia e Alzheimer; Tecnologia e Saúde Mental; Tecnologia e Diabetes Mellitus; Gêmeos Digitais e Tecnologia e Câncer de Mama. A divulgação do evento foi realizada por meio do Instagram e as inscrições foram feitas via formulário do Google Forms. Da mesma forma, o uso de formulário foi adotado em todos os dias do evento, para registro de presenças e posterior emissão do certificado e para análise dos resultados da atividade. Discussão: As tecnologias genéricas e inteligência artificial vêm ganhando importância na Medicina Baseada em Evidências, assim, a atividade foi pensada para sanar as dúvidas mais simples por parte dos interessados nesse assunto. Além disso, a temática escolhida para o evento foi interessante para os coordenadores e participantes, tendo em vista que esse assunto é emergente na área médica e há uma ausência da abordagem curricular e extracurricular desse tema. Conclusão: Por fim, percebe-se que a realização do evento contribuiu para a construção do conhecimento sobre o assunto, constituindo uma iniciativa importante para abordar o uso de tecnologias em saúde.
