Após o assassinato de mais de 500 civis por esquadrões da morte da polícia militar em maio de 2006, Débora Maria da Silva fundou o movimento social Mães de Maio, uma “rede autônoma de mães, familiares e amigos de vítimas diretas da violência estatal”. Ao trabalhar em parceria com as Mães de Maio, Clara Ianni realizou dois documentários. Em Mães (2013), a cineasta acompanha o encontro dessas mulheres antes do início de um trabalho clínico conduzido pelo coletivo Margens Clínicas. Em Apelo (2014), a fundadora do movimento social recita um manifesto no Cemitério de Perus, lugar que serviu de vala clandestina durante a ditadura civil-militar, e ainda é utilizado para o enterro de indigentes. Em nosso artigo, esses dois documentários serão um espaço privilegiado para darmos relevo a articulações entre conceitos psicanalíticos e aqueles que, desde o arcabouço estético e político forjados no campo da Filosofia e da História, implicam a Psicanálise, sua disciplina, sua clínica e sua ética.
