This paper presents a new fuzzy logic controller as power system stabilizer being used for stability enhancement and improving the dynamic response of the power system under faulty conditions. Power system stabilizer is added to the generator excitation system to enhance the damping during low frequency oscillations. In order to improve the stability of the power system, acceleration and rotor speed deviation of the synchronous machine are taken as input of fuzzy logic controller. These variables produce an effect on controlling the damping of generator mechanical shaft. In this paper proposed control power system stabilizer is being compared with the conventional power system stabilizer and multi brand power system stabilizer. Proposed control techniques are simulated over the IEEE 39 bus system under different conditions (with noise, without noise). Simulations of the control technique are carried out on MATLAB/SIMULINK tool.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
