Objetivo: investigar a evolução pós-operatória mediata e tardia de pacientes submetidos à cirurgia cardíaca, segundo o tipo de cirurgia.
Métodos: estudo observacional, realizado em um hospital do interior paulista, entre março de 2016 e outubro de 2017. Os dados foram coletados mediante consulta aos prontuários. No pós-operatório mediato, foram investigados complicações e desfecho da internação. No pós-operatório tardio, investigaram-se complicações, novos procedimentos e desfecho ao longo de dois anos.
Resultados: participaram 118 pacientes. A hiperglicemia foi a complicação mediata mais frequente no grupo de revascularização do miocárdio e de cirurgias combinadas de revascularização e correção valvar. “Razão normalizada internacional” não terapêutica foi a complicação mais frequente no grupo de correção valvar. Quanto ao desfecho, 90,9% estavam vivos após dois anos da alta hospitalar.
Conclusão: a frequência de complicações no pós-operatório mediato e tardio foi baixa.
