Objetivo:ste estudo busca explorar de que maneira os padrões de comportamento atribuídos ao gênero desde a infância e a pressão estética social exercida sobre mulheres está associada a patologias sexuais na idade adulta. Métodos: trata-se de uma Revisão integrativa com a seguinte questão de pesquisa “como a pressão social estética afeta a sexualidade feminina na atualidade?” utilizando pesquisas lançadas nas bases de dados virtuais Scholar Google e SCIELO, que atendessem aos critérios de inclusão selecionados. Resultados: Foi observado que a categoria 1, onde é tratado o conceito de gênero e sexualidade humana, constitui 25% do estudo em no que tange a quantidade de artigos. A categoria 2 aborda como o comportamento das mulheres é moldado pela indústria da beleza, e conta com 50% de todos os artigos da pesquisa. A categoria 3 explana sobre a disfunção sexual não orgânica oriunda na psique, na síntese de 25% dos estudos utilizados. Conclusão: O acúmulo de estímulos que pressionam um padrão estético advindos tanto da família, quanto da mídia e dos outros setores que constituem uma sociedade, é um dos geradores de psicopatologias, dentre elas, as patologias sexuais de caráter não orgânico, em mulheres na atualidade.
