O que podemos aprender do povo Piripkura? Pretende-se, partir desta pergunta, fazer uma análise fílmica do documentário Piripkura (2017), filme dirigido por Mariana Oliva, Renata Terra e Bruno Jorge, levando em consideração o caleidoscópio de Pierre Clastres (1992), no livro A Sociedade contra o Estado, e de Marshall Sahlins (1972), em Sociedade afluente original. A questão que orienta este trabalho é entender, a partir do documentário Piripkura, como a existência desse povo questiona o modo de vida hegemônico. Para isso, busca-se escrever sobre o que é a sociedade contra o Estado dos povos originários da América do Sul na ótica de Clastres e Sahlins, destacando aspectos da sociedade piripkura que podem ser encontrados no documentário, e, assim, fazer uma relação destes aspectos com elementos remanescentes da sociedade sem Estado dos piripkuras que contrastam com o atual modelo de desenvolvimento que põe em risco de desaparecimento diversas formas de vida, como aponta Krenak (2019). O trabalho é dividido em três partes: a primeira trata da situação atual de devastação territorial, do “etnocídio” e do genocídio pelos quais o povo piripkura passa atualmente; a segunda parte discute a ideia de técnica em uma perspectiva decolonial; e a terceira e última parte analisa os múltiplos encontros que o documentário proporciona. Por fim, compreende-se que o documentário mostra como os piripkuras, ao resistirem à colonização e seus colonizadores, apresentam um modelo contra-hegemônico de vida, que se opõe ao modelo de exploração dominante.
