RESUMO A imensa sociobiodiversidade do Cerrado brasileiro pode ser compreendida a partir dos modos de vida construídos pelo amplo leque de povos e comunidades tradicionais em suas relações com o bioma, do qual são guardiãs. Nas últimas décadas, projetos de desenvolvimento promovem ali acelerado avanço do agronegócio, expropriando terras, privatizando águas, contaminando o ambiente e ameaçando ou inviabilizando modos de vida tradicionais. Neste artigo, parte-se da percepção de mulheres de Campos Lindos/TO, sobre as consequências trazidas às suas vidas e saúde por empresas produtoras de soja. Em seguida, questiona-se a constituição do Cerrado como zona de sacrifício do desenvolvimento brasileiro, ao concentrar terras para a produção de 75% de quatro commodities agrícolas, desmatar mais de 50% da vegetação nativa, exaurir aquíferos e levar rios à morte, contaminar o ambiente com 73,5% dos agrotóxicos consumidos no País, trazendo implicações para o processo saúde-doença (como intoxicações agudas, malformações, cânceres, desnutrição, adoecimento mental) e para outros biomas do Brasil e países da América do Sul. Conclui-se perscrutando alternativas na perspectiva dos comuns, do decrescimento, dos direitos da natureza e do bem viver, instigando reflexões da saúde coletiva e da agroecologia sobre a contribuição dos saberes e fazeres tradicionais à saúde e à emancipação humana.
O artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar a experiência de apoio a organização das mulheres camponesas realizado pela Comissão Pastoral da Terra Araguaia-Tocantins. O processo resultou na criação da Rede de Proteção às Mulheres Camponesas Flores de Sucupira. Partimos nossa análise de dois pontos considerados os mais importantes no momento: a luta das mulheres em defesa dos seus territórios e a luta por autonomia político-econômica-sexual. Para tanto, lançamos mão dos registros em diários de campo das agentes pastorais, dos relatórios dos encontros de formação com as camponesas, de registros fotográficos e de entrevistas semiestruturadas com as camponesas das comunidades.
Este cartograma é um dos resultados da pesquisa “Mulheres e conflitos socioambientais: saberes e olhares da camponesas” sobre os impactos da soja na Serra do Centro, Campos Lindos/TO, defendia em 2019 no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Demandas Populares e Dinâmicas Regionais (PPGdire/UFT). O estudo buscou dar visibilidade às mulheres camponesas e seus modos de vida nas áreas de conflitos socioambientais. Além das violências intrínsecas ao modelo de sociedade patriarcal, as mulheres com liderança sofrem violências extremas, como assassinatos e a perda dos bens comuns, que são fontes de sustentação dos seus modos de vida. Na Serra do Centro, o conflito socioambiental chegou juntamente com os sojicultores do Projeto Agrícola Campos Lindos, em 1997; um grande projeto de interesses econômicos e políticos privado, com dimensão regional e nacional. Já são mais de vinte anos de conflito, e o território tradicional e os modos de vida das mulheres camponesas sofreram grandes transformações. Por isso, o objetivo do estudo foi identificar e refletir sobre os impactos socioambientais gerados pelo Projeto à vida das mulheres camponesas a partir dos seus olhares e compreensões. Para construir o enredo dessa história, foi realizado um mapeamento social dos saberes e olhares das camponesas da Raposa/Ribeirão D’anta, refletindo sobre as histórias de vida das mulheres, as relações de convivência com o ambiente, a inserção na organização política, social e familiar e o que essas mulheres defendem como desenvolvimento. Para compreender o espaço vivido pelas camponesas e as mudanças deste mesmo espaço, frente às transformações socioambientais ocorridas na Raposa/Ribeirão D’anta após a implantação das lavouras de soja, foi reproduzida cartograficamente a dinâmica do território, identificando as relações cotidianas das mulheres no espaço vivido.
RESUMO Este texto discute os ganhos políticos e epistemológicos advindos da parceria entre historiadores/as, movimentos sociais, organizações e comunidades na discussão sobre a temática das crises energética e ambiental contemporâneas. A partir de categorias e hipóteses lançadas por esses sujeitos políticos, discutimos as formas como os recursos hídricos foram capturados pelas lógicas e necessidades das economias de mercado e, ainda, as soluções para a crise energética atual baseadas em agrocombustíveis. Por fim, defendemos que os/as historiadores/as, ao retomarem lugar no espaço público, devem estar ao lado daqueles que lutam, há pelo menos cinco décadas, por justiça ambiental, apostando na vida.
