La Sangre de Drago es un árbol que se encuentra en la basta selva amazónica en América del Sur, usada por sus aborígenes por sus increíbles propiedades en especial al aplicarla en heridas la cual fomentaba su cicatrización, además de muchas otras propiedades como excelente antiviral, antidiarreico, inmunomodulador, antiinflamatorio. De todas sus propiedades es pertinente analizar su capacidad de precipitar el efecto cicatrizante y desinflamatorio aplicado en la gingivitis, la cual es la segunda patología oral más común en el mundo después de la caries dental, esta enfermedad de los tejidos periodontales está caracterizada por un proceso inflamatorio reversible de la encía que provoca cambios de color, edema y sangrado, afectando directamente la salud del paciente en casos que progresión no sea tomada en cuenta incluso a ser la patología desencadenante de la periodontitis causante de pérdida de estructuras dentales y óseas, e incluso en el peor de las casos una sepsis, la cual es una complicación potencialmente mortal. OBJETIVO: Estudiar la sangre de drago como factor coadyuvante en el tratamiento de la gingivitis Metodología: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y bibliográfico en base a 15 fuentes científicas sobre el origen de la Sangre de Drago, sus propiedades, agentes químicos activos en esta, usos en el campo medicinal; además en estudios sobre la gingivitis, causas, mecanismo de acción, tratamiento y estudios experimentales en los que se ha aplicado la Sangre de Drago como tratamiento restaurador de la misma.
La clasificación para las maloclusiones, fue propuesta por Edward Angle, en 1899 basándose en las relaciones mesiodistales de los primeros molares permanentes, según esta clasificación, la clase II cuando la cúspide mesiovestibular del primer molar superior se encuentra por mesial del surco vestibular del primer molar inferior, a su vez se subdivide en clase II-1, la cual se caracteriza por la vestibularización de los incisivos superiores y la clase II-2, en la que los incisivos centrales superiores están retroclinados y los laterales superiores proclinados más sin embargo con el paso del tiempo, diferentes factores y la ausencia de un tratamiento puede convertirse en una problemática esqueletal en el que puede existir un problema de retrognatismo mandibular en el que la mandíbula se encuentre retraída haciendo anormalmente visible el maxilar o la protrusión maxilar en la que el maxilar estará excesivamente por delante de la mandíbula, el grado de discrepancia entre las bases óseas puede variar más sin embargo la inconformidad que causa a quienes la padecen es la misma, para quienes se busca la cirugía ortognática como solución ha sido descrita en el presente artículo. OBJETIVO; Describir las características y el tratamiento quirúrgico en un paciente Clase II. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y bibliográfico sobre 15 artículos en los que se buscó características de pacientes clase II esqueletal, estudios cefalométricos, diferentes tipos de intervenciones quirúrgico en conjunto de sus ventajas y desventajas y el seguimiento post operatorio de las cirugías. Conclusión: Las técnicas más empleadas para el tratamiento de anomalías esqueléticas son la osteotomía bilateral sagital de rama mandibular, mentoplastía y osteotomía LeFort 1, todas de muy efectivo empleo siempre y cuando la valoración se haya hecho correctamente en dependencia de la situación que presenta el paciente, posterior a un correcto diagnóstico y bajo la supervisión de Ortodoncista y el cirujano maxilofacial quienes en donde se buscó reestablecer a los pacientes de armonía funcional y estética.
