En el diseño de experiencias de usuario para electrodomésticos, la conexión, la supervisión y el control a través de aplicaciones para teléfonos inteligentes están cada vez más presentes. A pesar de las amplias posibilidades de interacción que ofrecen los teléfonos inteligentes, actualmente el modo estándar de interacción con estas aplicaciones se da a través de la manipulación de la interfaz gráfica de usuario. Con el fin de explorar nuevas experiencias corporalmente sentidas para este contexto de uso, se diseñó una aplicación de control remoto para una aspiradora robótica, la que permitía a los participantes enfocar su mirada en el robot, mientras lo dirigían inclinando sutilmente el teléfono. Esta interacción concreta es utilizada como caso para destacar el papel de las sensibilidades somáticas a la hora de diseñar aplicaciones para teléfonos inteligentes en el contexto del Internet de las cosas (IoT). Mediante un análisis inspirado en la fenomenología, describimos la experiencia del usuario en términos de manipulación física, percepción, esfuerzo y utilidad, así como a través del compromiso social y emocional. Un atributo importante está relacionado con la manera en que la interacción creó, a través de su sutileza, una experiencia somáticamente conectada.
