Возможно, несколько странно, что до сих пор в литературе -как в ори-гинальных статьях, так и в монографиях -встречаются неточные, а зача-стую и просто ошибочные высказывания по поводу той или иной особенности, возникающей при отражении импульсов какой-либо формы от границы раз-дела двух сред (см., например, х " 4 ). Наибольшей популярностью здесь, по-видимому, пользуется вопрос о «предвестнике» или о кажущемся нарушении принципа причинности при решении задачи об отражении узкого импульса плоских звуковых волн от границы раздела двух сред под углом, большим угла полного отражения. Этот вопрос связан с тем фактом, что при рассмо-трении задачи в рамках приближения плоских волн отраженная волна по-является в точке наблюдения сколь угодно рано по сравнению с моментом прихода отраженного плоского импульса. Причиной появления предвестника является существующий во все времена контакт падающего импульса с гра-ницей раздела. Корректное рассмотрение причинно поставленной задачи 5 , в которой падающий импульс касается границы в конечный момент времени, дозволяет выяснить, что предвестник представляет собой задний фронт бо-ковой волны, приходящий в точку наблюдения, естественно, за конечное время. Вторым моментом, о котором часто упоминается в работах, посвящен-ных отражению звуковых импульсов от границы раздела двух сред, яв-ляется интерпретация боковой волны. В большинстве этих работ считается, что боковая волна связана с квазистатической частью отраженного возму-щения. Между тем, разумно ее связывать не с квазистатическим, а с волновым возмущением, возбуждаемым источником, движущимся по границе со ско-ростью, большей скорости звука в среде. Идея такой интерпретации отражен-ных и прошедших волн была высказана Хевисайдом и Франком 6 > 7 . На вол-новой характер этого возмущения указывает, в частности, и тот факт, что существует область, где спадание с расстоянием возмущения BI боковой вол-не такое же, как и для отраженной волны.
