The purpose. To develop the theory of allocation of melkozem on hollow downslopes under the influence of gullen-and balk-adjacent woodland belts and to attract more attention to restoring wood-melioration operations in terrains of agricultural land-use. Methods. Geomorphological analysis of map material and space pictures, selection of typical for conditions of Northern Steppe hollows on downslopes of different exposure with various combination of agricultural lands. Geodesic methods of soil-erosive surveys which determine developmental character and moving direction of soil on different elements of land forms and as a resultformation of head loops of ablation -accumulation on hollows. Results. Influence of gullen-and balkadjacent woodland belts is fixed on erosive-accumulative process on hollows which upper part from below is limited by woodland belt and is under intensive agricultural land-use, and lower one -is under forage grasslands. During field and cameral surveys catchment areas of woodland belts are specified. Character of formation of head loops of ablation and accumulation proves that soil as a result of ablation or plowings was tolerated from drainage area and secondary downslopes and deposited on thalweg in catchment area of woodland belt. Conclusions. Gullen-and balk-adjacent woodland belts are the organizing beginning of soil-protective land-use on slope lands. They promote levelling procedure of surface of soil on field part of hollows, reduce erosion processes on drainage areas and form head loops of accumulation in working area of the influence. Besides they promote activity of natural gears of protection of soils on hydrographic network. With termination of active erosion processes on the balk part of hollows the powerful soilcovering is formed, and on thalweg -dumetums. It as a whole confirms necessity of restoration of woodmelioration operations on lands of the agricultural factories.
Ravine denudation on hollow downslopes V. Tarasov, leading researcher, National Scientific Center «Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemistry Research named after O.N. Sokolovsky» The purpose. To study state and dynamics of development of gullens upon hollow nets of slope lands in land-use of modern agricultural facilities. Methods. Geomorphologic analysis of maps and geodetic methods of erosion-hydrological researches on hollows. Results. Factors influencing the loss of land on thalweg of hollows are determined and mathematical-and-statistical model of gully erosion which determines a layer of ravine denudations is elaborated. Conclusions. They consider that the layer of ravine denudation most objectively characterizes parameters of ablation on the upper parts of hydrographic network.
The purpose. To study dynamics and state of evolution of gullens in conditions of Steppe of Northern Ukraine on an instance of Lugansk oblast. Methods. Cartographical with determination of morphometric indexes of different links of hydrographic network by means of SIS techniques, mathematical-statistical and field surveys. Results. Analysis of indexes gully erosion has determined substantial increase of annual increase of gullens for the last 25 years. By results of analysis mathematical model which formalizes process of gullying is created. Conclusions. At saving trend of increase of gullens their firmness will be augmented from 2,6 up to 3,65 units/km2, thickness -from 1,59 up to 2,34 km/km2. The yielded state requires the further study of the process of gullying and heading of soil-protection measures.
