The work is devoted to the development of methods aimed at improving the intellectual level of existing production. This approach allows you to increase the overall level of intelligence associated with the implementation of the basic functions of the enterprise. At the same time, it is possible to solve not only tasks at the initial level of intelligence that an enterprise possesses, but also subsequently apply this method to solve more complex problems in deeper stages of the intellectual development of a smart enterprise.
In this article, the existing range of publications about the smart enterprise as a basis for the digital economy is analyzed. The principles of creating a smart enterprise as a way of adapting traditional enterprise to the peculiarities of the external environment are outlined and presented. An approach to solving the problems of a traditional enterprise in the form of its transition to a rational enterprise making decisions adequate to the conditions in which it exists is proposed. Adequacy is determined by the following parameters: a smart enterprise interacts with the environment, a smart enterprise responds to the environment and this allows it to adapt to the reality.
In modern conditions of digitalization of the economy, the information acquires the same value for the activity of the enterprise, as well as finances, marketing, potential, production. This means that information is being transformed into a certain type of production resource and integrated with the business strategy. Based on the critical analysis of theoretical material, as well as the use of practical developments, the role of creating a quality information architecture in a competitive enterprise is determined. The method of developing the information architecture of the enterprise is presented. The variant of the decision of a problem of the enterprise concerning the correctness of the information on information and technological support of business and strategies of its further development in the form of development and construction of the architecture of the information of the enterprise which provides interrelation of strategic purposes and tasks of the enterprise, business processes and technologies is offered.

The work is devoted to the composition, structure and content of cyber-physical systems, which are the information basis of "smart" enterprises. Purpose. The purpose of the work is to detail the use, presentation and role of cyber-physical systems, and based on such systems to consider the transition to the intellectual capabilities of the enterprise. Method. The research method is based on the structuring of the main functions performed by the cyber-physical system. The concept of a "smart" enterprise is considered, proceeding from the possibility of constructing intelligent algorithms using the information model. Results. Areas of application of cyber-physical systems and their tasks as an information component of a "smart" enterprise are determined, a scheme of transitions to the implementation of intellectual capabilities in enterprise management is proposed. Conclusion. Cyber-physical systems are the basis for building an enterprise information model. In the future, this model is used to improve management and the transition to algorithms associated with human intellectual abilities.
