Fifteen species of many-plumed moths are recorded from the Mount Cameroon area, SW Cameroon, West Africa. Nine species: Alucitalongipenis Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.lidiya Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.ludmila Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.escobari Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.mischenini Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.fokami Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.janeceki Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., A.besongi Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., and A.olga Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n., are described as new for science. Four species are recorded as new from Cameroon: A.acalyptra, A.chloracta, A.coffeina, and A.spicifera. By these records, the Mount Cameroon area has become the richest known Afrotropical locality for the Alucitidae, highlighting its tremendous value for biodiversity conservation.

There have been no special studies on plume moths of Liberia until recently. In the World Catalogue of Insects (Gielis 2003) only two species are reported from Liberia: Agdistis tamaricis (Zeller, 1847) and Megalorhipida leucodactyla (Fabricius, 1794) despite its well-known richness for other Lepidoptera groups (Fox et al. 1965, Larsen 2005) and its biogeographic position in the centre of the Upper Guinean biodiversity hotspot (Myers et al. 2000).

We give new data on Pterophoridae species from Paraguay and provide a checklist of them, including 36 species of 13 genera. Six species of plume moths are recorded for the fauna of Paraguay for the first time. The study was based on the essential literature on Pterophoridae of Paraguay.

Summary. An annotated list of 49 plume moths species of Azerbaijan is given. Thirty four species are recorded from this country for the first time. New synonymy is established: Agdistis intermedia Caradja, 1920 = Agdistis duplicationis Arenberger, 2013, syn. n.

The present study provides a review of 26 Alucitidae species of the Republic of South Africa. 5 species are reported for the first time for the fauna of RSA. New synonymies are established for 3 species: Alucita brachyzona (Meyrick, 1920) is synonymized under Alucita tesserata , and Alucita megaphimus and Alucita loxoschista (Meyrick, 1931) are synonymized under Alucita seychellensis (T.B. Fletcher, 1910). The type localities, general distribution in RSA and in its provinces are given.

Five new species of plume moths, viz. Agdistis iversoni sp. n., A. vansoni sp. n., A. buffelsi sp. n., A. samknotti sp. n. and A. kaunda sp. n., are described from South Africa. Previous records o f Agdistis species from southern Africa are summarised.
