The article considers directions of development of structural forms of engineering provision of safety of railway bridges being designed and operated and reduction of their renewal costs after seismic impacts, resulting from natural causes or human activity.
Basic principles and methods of planning of floating bridges are considered. Above all attention is spared to the hydrological aspects of planning of floating bridges, as the area of knowledge that is not explore so much. Importance of account is proved not only maximal hydrological descriptions but also minimum, which represent one of features of the hydrological mode.
Information about the developed programmatic complex for the calculation of new and classification of existent metallic flight structures of railway bridges is resulted.

The article makes analysis of the state of deformation joints in autoroute bridges and their influence on the general condition of the facilities, gives historic summary of the development of deformation joint constructions, formulated basic requirements to the present-day designs, and systematizes basic factors determining the choice of designs of deformation joints.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
