Бібліографічний опис статті: Burenkov, V. & Kahanov, Yu. (2020). The formation of non-formal groups of nomenclature in the USSR during the 1930-ies (on the example of the Soviet party leadership in Dnipropetrovsk region).
У дослідженні показано специфіку соціальної динаміки керівної верхівки Дніпропетровщини у 1953 -1964 рр. Аналізуються принципи формування та функціонування регіональних еліт СРСР, їх вплив на підбір і розташування ключових акторів у владній піраміді Дніпропетровщини. На основі реконструкції колективного портрету представників керівної ланки регіону в означений період автор статті намагається дошукатись відповіді на наступні запитання: чи була регіональна верхівка Дніпропетровщини замкненою? чи потрапляли до її лав «варяги»? якщо так, то на які управлінські позиції? як довго обіймали свої посади і чи успішною була їх кар'єра після виходу із місцевої правлячої верхівки? З огляду на ці питання висвітлено логіку кооптації місцевої регіональної партійно-радянської еліти до за-гальнореспубліканських і загальносоюзних органів влади. Показані деякі принципи та механізми формування так званого «дніпропетровського клану» Леоніда Брежнєва. Обґрунтовано наступні висновки: на відміну від більшості регіонів СРСР в Дніпропетровському обкомі не відбулось загострення відносин між «старшим» і «молодшим» перши-ми секретарями обкому; довготривала відсутність на керівних посадах у партійно-радянському апараті регіону так званих «варягів» сприяє консолідації регіональної мережі, зорієнтованої на свого патрона Брежнєва; кадрова стабі-льність в середині регіональної еліти, помножена на амбіції цієї управлінської мережі та патронаж Брежнєва, дозво-ляє їм претендувати на найвищі партійно-державні посади в УРСР та СРСР. Отримані результати дослідження дають можливість у подальших дослідження співвіднести місцеві процеси з подібними процесами в інших регіонах УРСР та СРСР. Окремо слід вказати на необхідність подальших досліджень впливу так званих «силовиків» на регіональні еліти.
