Results of x-ray diffraction and electron microscopic studies of steel 65 and R6M5 after different kinds of hardening treatment are presented. A mechanism of the effect of treatment in a pulse magnetic field and in a corona discharge on the strength of the steel is suggested, and the possibilities of its practical use are considered.

Durch Einwirkung von Trimethylsilyl‐methyl‐lithium (Ia) oder ‐magnesiumchlorid (Ib) in Pentan/Hexan bzw. Pentan/Äther auf Titan‐tetrachlorid bei ‐3°C bzw. ‐20°C erhält man je nach Mengenverhältnis das orangerote (Trimethylsilyl‐methyl)‐titantri= Chlorid (II) bzw. mit geringerer Ausbeute das Bis‐(trimethylsilyl‐methyl)‐titandichlorid (III).Versuche, auf diesem Wege ein dreifach substituiertes Titanchlorid herzustellen, führten zukeinem Erfolg.
