Coronavirus Disease (Covid) 19 outbreaks occurred in many countries led to the emergence of policy changes in the field of education for the implementation of learning at home in order to avoid the spread of the disease. Educational instructors must be responsive to adapt to changes in learning that was originally offline to be online to secure the learning process. This study aims to describe the various efforts of lecturers in carrying out online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was in March-April 2020 with 32 respondents (lecturers in the one of Universitas at Surabaya-Indonesia). Rapid survey with Google form by asking the facilities used in the implementation of online learning, the implementation of online learning, and the lecturers’ response to online learning. Data were analyzed using quantitative-descriptive manner. The results showed various lecturers’ efforts to secure the learning process during Pandemic Covid-19 Condition. They tried to use various platforms and applications to manage online learning, even in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and social media applications. The most widely used application was WhatsApp (84.4%) and in LMS was Google classroom (56.3%). In implementing online learning, lecturers had good design in teaching materials, preparation, implementation, evaluation of learning. In addition, 72% of lecturers responded positively to online implementation because they had benefited in increased digital literacy. The conclusion of this study were most lecturers responded positively by adapting to changes from offline to online learning; online learning has been well implemented.
Lamp shells is one of primitive brachiopods that can be found in the tropical region. One species of brachiopod has been reported found in Indonesia. This invertebrate is collected by local people for consumption as well as traded in the local market in the area of the southern shore of Madura Island and the northern shore of East Java, Indonesia. This research aimed to analyze the potency of lamp shells as food resources based on the protein and fat content and to evaluate the food safety based on the content of lead (plumbum) and cadmium. The sample of lamp shells was collected from Probolinggo beach. Fresh samples of flesh and pedicle of lamp shell were kept in a cool box for laboratory analysis. The protein content was analyzed using Kjeldahl method, while the content of fat was analyzed using soxhlet method. In addition, the level of plumbum and cadmium in the flesh and pedicle of lamp shell were tested using atomic adsorption spectroscopy. The results revealed that both of the flesh and the pedicle of lamp shells contained protein, namely 14.02±0.62% and 12.06±0.44% respectively. The flesh contained 1.12±0.13% of fat, meanwhile, the pedicle contained 0.84±0.07% of fat. These nutrient content were comparable other marine invertebrates. It seems that the nutrient content outweighs the content of heavy metal that can be accumulated in the sessile invertebrate. The content of plumbum in the flesh and pedicle of lamp shells were 0.10±0.01 ppm and 0.08±0.01 ppm respectively. Meanwhile, the content of cadmium in the flesh and pedicle of lamp shells were 0.09±0.01 ppm and 0.06±0.01 ppm respectively. These numbers are considerably lower that the level permitted. Hence, it can be concluded that lamp shells has potency as food recources.
The aim of character development is essential to know, especially for kindergarten pupils. It might help teachers in developing students and offering helps and services. Thus, an assessment model is needed to identify children's character development easily and accurately. This study aims to (1) develop an assessment model for evaluating kindergarten pupils’ character which is considered valid, reliable, and fulfill the criteria of goodness of fit statistic, and (2) know the characteristics of an authentic assessment model instrument to assess the achievements of early childhood characters in kindergarten. This research used Plomp’s Research and Development Model. Data were collected using a questionnaire, documentation, interview, observation, and Focus Group Discussion. The validation was proven by the expert judgment with the Aiken’s V formula and the reliability was estimated with Cronbach’s Alpha. The validation construct and reliability were examined using Exploratory Factor Analysis, followed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis to ensure the result. Furthermore, the results of this research show that (1) the assessment model developed is ASOKA. This model is considered valid and reliable as it meets the criteria of goodness and fits the statistic; (2) the characteristics of an authentic assessment model instrument to assess the achievements of early childhood characters in kindergarten are: (a) with the index of Aiken's V analysis results of 0.901, the content validity is considered high; (b) the instrument construct validity has fulfilled the criteria of goodness of fit statistic; (c) as seen from Alpha Cronbach value coefficient 0.914, its instrument reliability is considered good enough.
Keterampilan proses sains dapat dilatihkan dengan menerapkan konsep biologi yang berorientasi pada pendekatan saintifik untuk mengembangkan kompetensi ilmiah. Pada proses pembelajaran Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD) sangat penting guna menunjang aktivitas pembelajaran peserta didik. Arthropoda merupakan kelompok hewan invertebrata yang sering dijumpai di sekitar kita dan merupakan salah satu materi yang dipelajari di Biologi kelas X. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan LKPD berbasis Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) pada materi Arthropoda yang layak secara teoretis yang ditinjau dari hasil validitas dan layak secara empiris yang ditinjau dari aktivitas peserta didik, hasil belajar peserta didik, dan respons peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model 4D (define, design, develop, disseminate). Tahap pengembangan dilaksanakan di Jurusan Biologi selanjutnya diujicobakan kepada 20 peserta didik MAN Sidoarjo dengan rancangan one group pre test-post test. Variabel penelitian ini meliputi validitas, kepraktisan ditinjau dari aktivitas peserta didik dan respons peserta didik, dan keefektifan ditinjau dari hasil belajar peserta didik. Hasil belajar peserta didik dianalisis menggunakan gain score. Penelitian pengembangan LKPD berbasis SSCS berdasarkan aspek validitas memperoleh modus dengan kategori sangat valid. Penilaian berdasarkan aktivitas peserta didik memperoleh nilai 96.66% dengan kategori praktis artinya hampir semua peserta didik melakukan kegiatan pada LKPD berbasis SSCS dan respons peserta didik memperoleh nilai 96.95% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis SSCS materi Arthropoda untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses layak secara teoretis dan empiris.
