Bu çalışmanın konusunu Danimarka'nın Altın Çağı'nda resimleriyle ün kazanarak, Danimarka'nın milli sanatçısı kimliğini edinmiş Christen Købke oluşturmaktadır. Altın Çağ, Danimarka'nın kültür hayatında 1800'lerin başından 1850'ye kadar süren dönemi kapsar ve sanat ile kültür bu dönemde önem kazanır. Geleneksel olarak Danimarka Altın Çağı, ressam Eckersberg ve manzara resmiyle bağlantılıdır. Tarihsel olarak Danimarka Altın Çağı, Napolyon savaşları sırasında, 1807'de İngilizlerin Kopenhag bombardımanıyla; sanatsal bağlamda ise, Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg'in 1815 yılındaki yenilikçi görüşleriyle başlamaktadır. Sanat, gündelik hayatta yaşanan yoksulluk ve savaş gibi kavramlara dayalı olarak gelişmiştir. Sanatçılar, izleyiciyi hayal kurmaya davet eden, ancak neredeyse gerçek dışı gibi görünen ayrıntılardan etkilenen, karşı konulamaz görüntüler yaratmıştır.Bu çalışmada Christen Købke'nin öne çıkan resimleri seçilerek ikonografik olarak çözümlenmiştir. Danimarka Altın Çağı'nın görsel kültürü Christen Købke'nin çalışmaları üzerine odaklanarak ele alınmıştır. Avrupa tarihinde yer edinen bu dönemi tam olarak tanımlamak için çalışmamızda Købke'nin eserlerinin Danimarka Altın Çağı'nın görsel kültüründeki yeri, 19. yüzyılın Avrupa resim sanatı ile etkileşimi üzerinde durulmuştur.
Bu makalenin konusunu ardından gelen pek çok sanatçı ve özellikle portre ressamına ilham veren, ilk kadın Kuzey Amerikalı feminist, aynı zamanda ünlü İzlenimci ressam Mary Cassatt ve "Çocuğuyla Oynayan Anne" isimli eseri oluşturur. Bu çalışmanın amacı Marry Cassatt"ın ilgili eseri ve konu seçkisi üzerinden ressamın sanat hayatını değerlendirmek ve ressamla ilgili alanyazına katkı sağlamaktır. Bu bağlamda Mary Cassatt"ın hem Amerikan kültüründe yetişmesi, hem de 19. yüzyıl ressamı olması nedeniyle, çalışma içinde 19. yüzyılda Amerikan resim sanatına yer verilmiştir. Mary Cassatt"ın eserlerindeki konu seçkisini yorumlamak, onun nasıl bir yaşantı sürdüğü konusunda bilgi sahibi olmayı gerektirir. Bu nedenle ressamın biyografisine değinilmiş ve üslubunu belirgin biçimde ortaya koyan eserleri seçilerek, çalışmada bu eserler değerlendirilmiştir.

Amerikalılara bir İngiliz olarak sahip oldukları vahşi güzellikleri ve resim sanatlarını önemsemeyi hatırlatan bir yabancı ressamdır.
is a British illustrator and painter. He was born in Camden, Kentish Town, northwest of London. He lived in the 19th century. The reason he made the engraving pictures used in our work is related to the book of the English poet, researcher and traveller Julia Pardoe. Bartlett studied education on drawing from childhood and visited İstanbul to show the scenes in the book. The engravings in the book show many places in İstanbul that are still alive today. These engravings are very interesting. He introduced some of the engravings that Julia Pardoe described in his book and made in İstanbul. These works in his works caused both Bartlett and Julia Pardoe to be very popular. This article aims to introduce Bartlett, one of the foreign painters of English origin, among foreign painters of İstanbul. Formalism and biography methods were used in the article. In the conclusion part, the artist's personality his contribution to the history of art and culture were tried to be interpreted with examples from İstanbul engraving works.
