This article addresses the right to housing in Brazil, focusing on a critical analysis of the State's guarantee to ensure safe dwellings in socially marginalized areas. In this sense, there are public policies capable of promoting the democratization of access to safe housing, as foreseen in Law 10.257/2001 or, as it is known, the City Statute, however, in contrast, the Brazilian historical-social formation, favored the peripheral invisibility and the lack of regularization of occupations in these areas. The present work was carried out through data survey and analysis through bibliographical references, qualitative study of data and the 1988 Federal Constitution, examining its relation to the guarantee of safe housing for the citizens of the mass under study.
In apartments or houses, it is common to have noise propagation, both external and internal. These events are commonplace between rooms and between different apartments in a building, affecting inhabitants' privacy, causing a general discomfort. In order to solve these problems, this study aims to highlight, through a literature review, an ecological and accessible alternative: the use of polyethylene terephthalate wool, or PET wool, to improve the acoustics in homes. It was observed, after research, that the use of PET wool is the best alternative to be adopted for sound absorption.
Conventional construction systems are still present in the overall scenario of civil construction industry, with the consumption of large amounts of natural resources and the generation of significant quantities of waste. The objective of this paper is to gather information about existing conventional construction systems vis a vis the alternative use of Wood Frame. Research was carried out by using the methodology of bibliographic and documentary search to place a comparison with the environmental and economic aspects collected from various sources in order to discuss the costs of systems, using case studies carried out by different authors. The results indicate that, despite the stability of reinforced concrete in the national construction scene, it is possible to use the Wood Frame system as an alternative capable of generating economic and environmental benefits.
