Monoradikale Berechnung d e r magnetischen SusceptibilitatVor rund 50 Jahren entdeckte M . Gombergl) den reversiblen Zerfall des Hexaphenylathans in zwei Molekeln T r i p h e n y l -m e t h y l . Der infolge des ungepaarten Elektrons vorhandene P a r am a g n e t i s m u s ermoglicht es, solche Radikale sicher nachzuweisen und zu bestimmen. Den Nachweis von Radikalen durch Messung der n i a g n e t i s c h e n S u s c e p t i b i l i t i i t hat zuerst G. N. Lewisz) gezeigt; u m den Ausbau dieser Methode hat sich vor allem E. Die gemessene Susceptibilitat eines Radikals setzt sich ztisammen aus dem paramagnetischen Anteil x+, der durch das ungepaarte Elektron verursacht wird, und dern diarnagnetischen Anteil x-, den jede Verbindung zeigt. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
