AMAÇ:Anksiyete bozukluğu nedeni ile Psikiyatri Polikliniğinde izlemekte olduğumuz hastalarda serum lipid profili deği-şimi olup olmadığı araştırmak. GEREÇ VE YÖNTEM:Çalışma Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Psikiyatri polikliniğinde anksiyete bozukluğu tanısı alan ve kronik hastalığı (diabetes mellitus, hipertansiyon, koroner arter hastalığı, dislipidemi) olmayan hastalar ile Aile Hekimliği polikliniğine başvuran kontrol grubu üzerinde, Eylül 2009-Şubat 2010 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Onam formunu imzalayarak çalışmayı kabul eden hastalara sosyodemografik veri anketi ve Hamilton Anksiyete Ölçeği testi uygulanmıştır. Ardından hastalara uygun oldukları bir gün en az 12 saatlik bir açlıktan sonra gelmeleri söylenerek serum lipid profilleri değerlendirilmiştir. BULGULAR:Çalışmaya 71'i kadın (%55,9), 56'sı erkek (%44,1) olmak üzere 127 kişi alındı. Panik bozukluk olan grupta; düşük dansiteli lipoprotein düzeyiyle (p:0.020), trigliserid düzeyi ile (p:0.046) ve total kolesterol düzeyi ile (p:0.038) Hamilton anksiyete puanı arasında anlamlı ilişki bulundu. Yaygın anksiyete bozukluğu grubunda; düşük dansiteli lipoprotein düzeyiyle (p:0.019); total kolesterol düzeyiyle (p:0.003) ve yüksek dansiteli lipoprotein düzeyleri ile (p:0.011) Hamilton anksiyete puanı arasında anlamlı ilişki saptandı. Obsesif kompulsif bozukluk grubunda; düşük dansiteli lipoprotein düzeyiyle Hastane anksiyete puanı (p:0.031) ve total kolesterol ile Hamilton anksiyete puanı (p:0.000) arasında anlamlı ilişki saptandı. Çalışmamızda bütün anksiyete alt gruplarında düşük dansiteli lipoprotein düzeyiyle Hamilton anksiyete puanı arasında anlamlı ilişki tespit edildi. SONUÇ:Anksiyete bozukluğu olan hastaların psikiyatrik kontrollerinin yanında, rutin olarak serum lipid profili de incelenerek, ileride gelişebilecek koroner arter hastalıkları azaltılabilir.
