Some suicide-preventive strategies used in the West for young people may be applicable in Vietnam. Reducing access to pesticides and rat poison is comparable to western efforts to make paracetamol or firearms less freely available. Skills in resolving family and other conflicts can be taught in schools according to WHO's suicide-prevention resources for teachers.
There are a number of methods for measuring propeller pitch, but there could still be problems for many fishing boat builders because of their lack of necessary professional equipment. This paper presents a method of propeller pitch measuring based on photogrammetry and CAD (Computer-Aided Design). This method consists of three stages. The first stage is to take a series of 2D image photographs of the propeller using a smart phone. The second stage consists of processing these 2D images using photogrammetry software to create a 3D virtual model of the propeller. A CAD program is used to measure the pitch at different radii of each blade of the 3D virtual model in the third stage. In this study, several propellers for fishing boats were measured and the results were compared to those archived by using an EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machine and by a qualified professional worker using simple tools. The measurement results showed that the proposed method would be acceptable for measuring pitches of propellers of fishing boats.
Using of cutting inserts is currently a normal part of the manufacturing process. The article deals with the tool wear evaluation of selected inserts for turning by electron microscopy. Use of electron microscopy helps on closer analysis of machining consequences forthese plates, because the microscope images captured with electronmicroscope have a greater depth of sharpness and can display examined object with greater plasticity. It is yet another way to explore objects and extends the possibilities for obtaining large quantities of information. These analyzes were realized in other experiments performed at the Faculty of Production Technology and Management of Jan Evangelisty Purkyně University in Usti nad Labem. As a experimental material the hardened steel class 16 343 according to CSN 41 0002 has been machining.
This paper describes a computer-aided design for design of the concave globoidal cam with cylindrical rollers and indexing turret follower. Three models with different modeling methods are made from the same input data. The input data include some basic dimensions of the globoidal cam system and a table of angular input and output displacements of the cam and the follower. The cam model must have no interference with the rollers when their motions are simulated in assembly conditions. In this study, Pro/ENGINEER® Wildfire 2.0 is used for modeling the cam, simulating motions and checking interference and errors of the system.
The research aims to investigate the readiness of self–directed learning, self–efficacy, and the relationship between them in students at the University of Social Science and Humanities Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. The study was administrated with the self-efficacy scale developed by Schwarzer, R., & Jerusalem, M. (1993) and the readiness for self–directed learning scale developed by Fisher et al. (2001, 2010). The total number of students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City was 12,540 students (according to the second term of the academic year 2020–2021). This study’s sample was calculated with the formula developed by Watson (2001). With a confidence level of 95% and a variable value of 50%, in the results table of Watson's sample size for a total population of 10,000 to 15,000 people, the sample size for this study ranged from 385 to 390 people. The official sample of 395 students was suitable, which could represent the total population according to Watson (2001). Research results showed that the level of self-efficacy and readiness for self–directed learning among students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City was at an intermediate level. In particular, the results indicated that there was a difference between different academic–year students and readiness for self–directed learning. Research results implied that there was a close correlation between self-efficacy and readiness for self–directed learning in students.
