The Covid-19 pandemic has imposed the government to provide a mass restriction policy, and businesses respond to this issue by adopting technology and social media marketing. This study aims at highlighting the determinant factors affecting technology adoption, social media marketing, and business sustainability. The study involved a quantitative approach with partial least squares structural equation modeling to obtain a deep understanding of this phenomenon. The research was incorporated with small and businesses in East Java Provincial in Indonesia employing an online questionnaire. The findings show that the adoption of internet/e-business technology can be explained by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and cost. Furthermore, it has a link between internet/e-business technology, social media marketing, and SMEs' sustainability. However, the cost variable failed in demonstrating the implementation of social media marketing by SMEs. This work strongly suggests that the adoption of internet/e-business technology and social media marketing successfully explains the mediating role between variables. Despite this work solely conducted in East Java, this research is the initial phase in a study associated with SMEs' sustainability in the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia.
The implementation of physical or social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic has an implication on the shifting of conventional to online business activities. This study aims to explore how financial support, perceived benefits, external pressure determine social media marketing as well as understanding the role of internet and e-business technology (IEBT) that occurs in this relationship. This study adopted a quantitative study with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-based variance Partial Least Square (PLS), which aims to enhance understanding of the relationship between variables. The surveyed population of this study came from 123 small-and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners in East Java of Indonesia, using an online survey and selected with the convenience random sampling method. The findings of this study indicated that the perceived benefits and external pressure have a positive effect on the adoption of IEBT. However, financial support failed in explaining SMEs' adoption of IEBT. This study confirmed that the adoption of IEBT has successfully mediated the influence of financial support, perceived benefits, and external pressure on social media marketing. Despite the samples solely collected from East Java, this study is the first step in research related to the social media marketing in SMEs in Indonesia.
Introduction/Main Objectives: The existence of technological advances in online transportation provides benefits to the community, and especially for the culinary industry; consumers no longer have to go to restaurants to buy food; it can be ordered through the Gojek application. The Gojek application makes it easy for people to buy food online. Various items of information about the restaurant are provided by Gojek’s online transportation service application. Background Problems: The government's appeal regarding COVID-19 requires people to stay at home, to support social distancing. Many activities must now be carried out at home, including eating. Along with the technological developments, people do not need to worry about staying at home because everything can be done from the home, with the GoFood application's support. Novelty: This study aims to determine and prove the effect of information quality on experience quality and customer perceived value, as well as satisfaction, from using the GoFood application in Malang City. This research is an update of the information gathered previously during the pandemic, which can be used as a reference for determining marketing strategies. Research Methods: This type of research is explanatory research through a quantitative approach, by conducting a direct survey of the application’s users, by using an online questionnaire. The research sample consists of 380 respondents. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling with the criteria that the Gojek application’s users had made purchases the application at least one times, and were aged 18 years and over, so the perceptions given would be quite clear and independent. Finding/Results: The results show that information quality has a positive and significant effect on experience quality, customer perceived value and customer satisfaction; experience quality has a positive and significant effect on customer perceived value; and customer perceived value has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Conclusion: This study reveals that the quality of the experience has a positive but insignificant effect on customer satisfaction. The result is a new finding from this study because there are differences in the previous studies' relationships between the variables. This study contributes that the stay-at-home appeal could increase the use of online applications to carry out activities.
Ecotourism is a form of tourism that is closely linked to the principle of conservation. Thus, ecotourism is right and beneficial in maintaining the integrity and authenticity of ecosystems in natural areas, particularly turtle conservation areas. Ecotourism is synergized to turtle conservation as it has such features: (1) Conservation, the use of biodiversity does not damage the natural source, also it does not cause negative impact whereas it is very environmentally friendly, (2) Education, by improving community’s awareness and changing their behavior about the need for conservation of living natural resources and their conservation, (3) Economy, ecotourism provides economic benefits and spur regional development; and (4) Active role of community, this is done by building partnership with local communities for the development of ecotourism. Based on the issues, “IbW Conservation and Ecotourism Ngadirojo District Pacitan Region” was done by (1) Making a model of tourism activities that is environmentally, ecologically, socially, and economically beneficial to local communities and to the sustainability of natural resources, (2) Assessing the object of tourist attraction in flora and fauna conservation areas, in this case sea turtles and their ecosystems, so that can synergize with ecotourism activities, and (3) Making a model of local community-based tourist institution. The method implemented to achieve the objectives was “Community Empowerment through Ecotourism” which is described as follow: (1) Land Conservation, value and travel product, (2) Creation of an ecotourism atmosphere that all people who live in the area will gain the benefit, (3) The development of tourism activities that carry the excellence of the physical, economic, socio-cultural aspects of the local, (4) The solid image of ecotourism activities in the region that is supported by the readiness of all stakeholders, and (5) Integration of turtle theme conservation and ecotourism area with other supporting tourism products in the Regency. Pacitan Construction of facilities that have been carried out are: (1) developing the forest of eternity, (2) ecological restoration of coastal forests, (3) making sea water wells for turtle ponds, (4) nursery of coastal forest vegetation, (5) construction of marine biota ponds and sanitation facilities, (6) construction of shelters and gazebos, (7) construction of parking lot, and (8) widening of the ecotourism ring road. The next stage plans are: (1) ecotourism community empowerment, (2) strengthening the ecotourism area, and (3) revitalization of marine biota ponds.
The objective of this paper is to simulate the effects upon the wind speed, variation of turbine blades and interaction of wind speed and variation of turbine blades to the power capacity generated by Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) using NACA 2412 and to stratify the power capacity generated by the VAWT simulation. The research backgrounds are the wind-energy potential in Indonesia is about 9.290 MW and has already elaborated by Ministry of Mining, and Energy Resources is about 50 MW. This wind energy is environmentally (clean energy), economically (cheapest), easy to operate and easy to maintain, also renewable energy. The method of analysis is quantitative approach using two way classification (analysis of variance or design of experiments). The research variables are wind speed, variation of turbine blades and this interaction among independent variables and the power capacity as dependent variables. Data wind speed simulation vary from 3 m/s till 6 m/s. The quantity of turbine blades vary from 3 till 8 units. The finding from this research is accepted the null hypothesis or not differ significantly at 5% from each independent variable. The scenario and the parameters during the strategy development use turbine blades, wind speed and power generated by VAWT and the maximum power generated is 16.38 watt. The wind speed is 6 m/s and the number of turbine blade is 4 units. However, the minimum power generated by VAWT is 0.45 watt, the wind speed is 6 m/s and the number of turbine blade is 3 units.
