<p>Dalam upaya melindungi generasi muda dari bahaya asap rokok, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam rangka mengembangkan ASETARO, sebuah komik pendidikan kesehatan tentang bahaya rokok. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui Diskusi Kelompok Tearah dan wawancara dengan wakil siswa sekolah dasar dan pustakawan sekolah, serta <em>literature review.</em> Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model komik yang disukai siswa adalah <em>science fiction</em> yang memberikan pengetahuan sekaligus membangkitkan imajinasi seperti pada <em>science comic</em> WHY! Pada umumnya siswa menyukai gaya cerita, gambar, dan warna dari komik tersebut. Selanjutnya para siswa masih membutuhkan informasi tentang kandungan racun dalam rokok, mengapa rokok bisa menyebabkan kecanduan dan penyakit, serta dampak rokok terhadap perokok aktif dan pasif. Selain itu ditemukan pula masih adanya anggapan bahwa perilaku merokok adalah perilaku orang dewasa, dan anak-anak tidak diperbolehkan merokok karena badannya masih lemah. Simpulan penelitian adalah komik pendidikan kesehatan mengenai bahaya rokok akan menggunakan pendekatan <em>science fiction</em>.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Smoking is harmful especially for children. Children must be protected from the effect of tobacco use. Comic story book is one of the children’s favorite media. Comic can serve health educational purpose. The purpose of this study was to develop ASETARO, a Comic Story Book for primary school aged children, to help children learn about the effect of tobacco use for health. This research was a descriptive study with qualitative approach. Data collected through Focus Group Discussion with students from five Primary Schools at Semarang, interviews with the librarian form each school, and literarture review. Results of analysis studies showed that most students liked science fiction comics. The majority of the students likes Science Comic WHY? Analysis study also revealed that the students still need information about the harm of cigarettes, why smoking can cause addiction and disease, as well as the impact of smoking on active and passive smokers. Analysis study also found that some students still believe that smoking is an adults's behavior. Children are not allowed to smoke because the body is still weak. Based on the results of analysis studies was then to design and develop a draft of comic story book.</p>
Latar belakang: Perlindungan terhadap anak-anak dari bahaya merokok penting untuk dilakukan, karena anak-anak berpeluang untuk menjadi perokok aktif dan pasif. Tidak hanya di perkotaan, anak-anak di pedesaan juga memiliki peluang yang sama untuk terkena penyakit akibat rokok. Analisis situasi di SD N Jembrak Kecamatan Pabelan Kabupaten Semarang menunjukkan bahwa para siswa membutuhkan informasi tentang bahaya asap rokok bagi kesehatan mereka. Tujuan: para siswa mengetahui bahaya asap rokok bagi kesehatan, sehingga dapat melindungi dari dari bahaya asap rokok. Metode: Edukasi kesehatan menggunakan media komik ASETARO, yang diawali dengan pre-test dan diakhiri dengan pos-test dan tanya jawab. Pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk evaluasi hasil edukasi. Hasil: Para siswa menyukai edukasi melalui komik ASETARO karena mereka memperoleh informasi secara menyenangkan melalui gambar-gambar yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Pada hasil pre-test hanya 8% siswa yang memperoleh nilai pengetahuan dalam kategori baik, namun pada hasil post-test telah meningkat menjadi 83%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah memperoleh informasi tentang bahaya asap rokok melalui komik ASETARO pengetahuan siswa mengalami peningkatan. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menggunakan media komik ASETARO pada siswa di SDN Jembrak Kecamatan Pabelan Kabupaten Semarang mengenai bahaya asap rokok dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan sasaran.
Latar belakang: Edukasi kesehatan bagi masyarakat di saat pandemi Covid-19 sangat diperlukan. Pemerintah saja tidak akan mungkin mengatasi pandemi tanpa melibatkan masyarakat. Setiap warga negara memiliki kewajiban untuk ikut andil didasarkan panggilan hati untuk berbakti bagi negeri. Masyarakat dari kalangan terdidik seperti mahasiswa juga perlu mengambil bagian dalam pengabdian pada Negara ini. Salah satu bentuk pengabdian yang dapat dilakukan dengan biaya minimal adalah dengan merancang media edukasi online seputar pandemi Covid-19 bagi masyarakt luas. Tujuan: Menghasilkan berbagai produk desain poster kesehatan untuk kegiatan edukasi masyarakat secara online. Metode: Metode yang dilaksanakan diawali dengan diskusi kelompok, brainstorming gagasan, perancangan desain, review narasi, review desain dan finalisasi desain. Edukasi masyarakat melalui aplikasi perpesanan WhatsApp. Hasil: Dihasilkan desain poster edukasi kesehatan dengan topik seputar pandemi Covid-19 dalam berbagai bentuk dan kajian sudut pandang. Poster disusun sesuai target sasaran edukasi, baik dalam kata-kata, ilustrasi termasuk gambar dan bahasa yang digunakan. Desain poster telah disebarkan ke masyarakat sebagai upaya edukasi online melalui aplikasi perpesanan WhatsApp. Kesimpulan: Mahasiswa sebagai kelompok masyarakat terdidik dapat berbuat banyak membantu pengendalian pandemi Covid-19 dengan melakukan edukasi masyarakat melalu perancangan, pembuatan poster kesehatan dan menyebarluaskan ke masyarakat luas. The government alone will not be able to overcome the pandemic without involving the community. Every citizen has an obligation to contribute based on a calling to serve the country. Educated people such as students also need to take part in serving this country. One form of service that can be carried out at minimal cost is to design online educational media about the Covid-19 pandemic for the wider community. Objective: To produce various health poster design products for online public education activities. Method: The method implemented begins with group discussions, brainstorming ideas, designing designs, reviewing narratives, reviewing designs, and finalizing designs. Community education through the WhatsApp messaging application. Results: Health education poster designs were produced with topics around the Covid-19 pandemic in various forms and study points of view. Posters are arranged according to educational targets, both in words, illustrations including pictures, and the language used. The poster design has been disseminated to the public as an online educational effort through the WhatsApp messaging application. Conclusion: Students as an educated community group can do a lot to help control the Covid-19 pandemic by educating the public by designing, making health posters, and disseminating them to the wider community. Background: Menstrual personal hygiene is an effort to maintain personal hygiene and reproductive organs during menstruation. If the personal hygiene of menstruation is poor, it may be at risk of infection of the reproductive tract and can cause vaginal discharge. The results of the preliminary study showed that 8 out of 10 adolescents knew little about menstrual hygiene. Purpose: To produce animated video content motion graphics of adolescent girls' about personal hygiene during menstruation. Method: This study using uses the P Process media development model. The expert review was conducted by media experts and materials experts. The pre-test media will conduct on girls adolescents aged 13-18. Results: The expert review results showed that the animation video media motion graphic about menstrual personal menstrual hygiene belonged to an excellent category (81-100%), and the materials in the animated videos motion graphic about menstrual personal hygiene belonged to a good category (61-80%). The results of a small-scale experiment conducted on 13-18-year-old girls showed an increase in knowledge before and after watching animated videos about menstruation and personal hygiene. All interviewees believed that animated videos were very educational and useful for young women. Conclusion: This study shows a change in the increase in knowledge of adolescent girls after seeing an animated video motion graphic about menstrual personal hygiene.
