The aim of this study is to describe the development of emergent literacy in kindergarten children and to compare the development of emergent literacy of kindergarten children in the urban and sub urban area of Semarang city. In order to collect data, the Emergent Literacy developmental Test was used (part of the test was adapted from the Get Ready To Read by Whitehurst). In total, 36 children aged 4-5 years participated in the study. The results showed that kindergarten children from urban area scored higher significantly (13.188 ± 3.43) in the emergent literacy than children from sub urban area (10.00 ± 3.146; t(35) = 2.903; p = 0.003).
UD Dian Pertiwi is one of the small and medium enterprises engaged in materials with the main product is building materials. This business experiences large amounts of transactions every day, the data obtained becomes increasingly large, and it will only be limited to a pile of useless data or commonly called junk. By utilizing a data mining approach apriori algorithm technique, the data can be utilized to support the sales process and achieve a target of UD Dian Pertiwi. Based on research and data mining that has been done using association analysis and apriori algorithms by applying a minimum of support = 1% and a minimum of confidence = 70% resulted in the ten strongest association rules can be used by UD Dian Pertiwi in the process of applying a sales strategy including determining interrelationships, in short, the product has the potential to be purchased at the same time, increasing the amount of product stock and conducting promotions.
Employees intending to resign are commonly due to material matters, such as lack of salary or incentives. Evidently, moral matters, e.g., supervisor support, implies to affect the turnover intention in an organization. Studies pertaining the effect of these two variables to intention to resign report mixed result. For example, several studies report direct and significant effect of these two variables to intention to resign, while otherstudies report the contrary. This study aimed to investigate the direct influence of perceived supervisor support on employee turnover intention through a meta-analysis method. There are 17 articles and 20 studies, ranging from 2007 to 2019 being analysed, of which 60% were published in accredited international journals, and the remaining 40% were published in international journals. Aggregate number of respondents of the studies amounted to 10,079 people from all industrial sectors, such as manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality industry, education, and social services in several countries, such as the Philippines, China, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Norway, and the United States. This study employed data from the standardized beta coefficient using an open-source program data analysis application of Mplus. The study results found that perceived supervisor support did not directly affect employee turnover intention. The study can be used as a reference for similar studies to compare other interrelated variables.
Kecenderungan kecanduan media sosial adalah fenomena yang sering terjadi pada saat ini seiring dengan meningkatnya penggunaan internet serta canggihnya kemajuan teknologi. Terjadinya kecenderungan kecanduan media sosial dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya adalah faktor kontrol diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan kecanduan media sosial pada remaja, dan (2) Seberapa besar peran kontrol diri terhadap kecenderungan kecanduan media sosial.
Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 164 orang yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik sampling incidental.
