Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang trên 2352 học sinh từ 15 đến 18 tuổi nhằm mô tả tình trạng dinh dưỡng (TTDD) của học sinh tại 6 trường trung học phổ thông (THPT) tỉnh Điện Biên năm 2020. Thu thập số liệu bằng phương pháp phỏng vấn với bộ câu hỏi được thiết kế sẵn và cân đo chỉ số nhân trắc. Sử dụng chuẩn tham chiếu của WHO 2006 để đánh giá TTDD. Kết quả cho thấy 23,4% học sinh suy dinh dưỡng (SDD) thấp còi, xếp ở mức cao về ý nghĩa sức khỏe cộng đồng theo phân loại của WHO năm 2018. 4,5% học SDD gầy còm và 4,5% học sinh thừa cân – béo phì (TC - BP). Nhóm học sinh miền núi có tỷ lệ SDD thấp còi cao nhất 32,9%, sau đó là nhóm học sinh nông thôn 19,1% và thấp nhất ở nhóm học sinh thành thị 11,1% với p<0,001. Tỷ lệ SDD thấp còi thấp nhất ở nhóm kinh tế bình thường 17,1%, sau đó là nhóm cận nghèo 26,1% và cao nhất ở nhóm hộ nghèo 44,9% (xếp ở mức rất cao theo phân loại của WHO). Do vậy, cần có các chương trình can thiệp dinh dưỡng đặc thù, trọng tâm, theo địa bàn cho nhóm đối tượng này để mở ra các cơ hội tốt về học tập và công việc trong tương lai.
Nghiên cứu này được thực hiện nhằm xác định một số triệu chứng lâm sàng và biến đổi bệnh lý ở chó mắc bệnh giun móc tại huyện Việt Yên, tỉnh Bắc Giang. Dữ liệu nghiên cứu được thu thập qua theo dõi biểu hiện lâm sàng của 213 chó nhiễm giun móc và mổ khám 7 chó bị nhiễm giun móc nặng. Các mẫu bệnh phẩm thu thập từ chó mắc bệnh mổ khám được ngâm trong formon 10%, tẩm đúc Parafin nhuộm Hematoxylin – eosin. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, trong 213 chó được theo dõi, 50 con có biểu hiện triệu chứng lâm sàng, chiếm 23,47%, với các biểu hiện lâm sàng chủ yếu như gầy yếu, lông xù xơ xác, giảm ăn hoặc bỏ ăn, bụng phình to, táo bón xem kẽ ỉa chảy, phân lẫn máu, run rẩy. Tổn thương đại thể chủ yếu ở chó mắc bệnh giun móc gồm niêm mạc ruột non viêm cata, thành ruột viêm tăng sinh, có những điểm tụ huyết hoặc xuất huyết, phổi viêm có nhiều điểm tụ huyết, gan có nhiều điểm tụ huyết. Các tổn thương vi thể ở chó mắc bệnh giun móc như niêm mạc ruột viêm, thoái hóa, bong tróc, thâm nhiễm tế bào viêm ở lớp cơ thành ruột, chủ yếu là bạch cầu eosin, lòng phế quản chứa nhiều hồng cầu, biểu mô bong tróc.
Nghiên cứu cắt ngang tiến hành năm 2019 tại 05 bệnh viện tại thành phố Đà Nẵng nhằm nghiên cứu mối liên quan giữa của nồng độ bụi mịn trung bình theo ngày với nguy cơ nhập viện điều trị nội trú của người cao tuổi mắc tai biến mạch máu não thể nhồi máu. Tại Đà Nẵng, năm 2019, diễn biến nồng độ bụi mịn theo ngày có sự khác nhau theo mùa, vào mùa khô, từ tháng 1 đến tháng 7, số ngày có nồng độ bụi mịn vượt tiêu chuẩn nhiều hơn mùa mưa, từ tháng 8 đến tháng 12. Kết quả nghiên cứu chỉ ra rằng khi nồng độ bụi mịn tăng 1µg/m3 số bệnh nhân cao tuổi nhập viện do tai biến mạch máu não thể nhồi máu có nguy cơ cao gấp 1,14 lần vào mùa mưa, 95%CI: 1,025 - 1,267. Vào mùa khô, nồng độ bụi mịn tăng 1µg/m3 tăng nguy cơ nhập viện sau khi phơi nhiễm 24h gấp 1,017 lần, 95%CI: 1,008 - 1,026. Nghiên cứu đã đưa ra bằng chứng về mối liên quan giữa sự gia tăng nồng độ bụi mịn trong không khí ảnh hưởng tới sức khoẻ người cao tuổi, đặc biệt là những người có nguy cơ mắc bệnh tai biến mạch máu não tại thành phố Đà Nẵng.
