Computerized search programs can detect ADEs, and free-text searches were especially useful. Adverse drug events were frequent, and admissions were not rare, although most hospitals today do not identify them. Thus, such detection programs demonstrate "value-added" for the electronic record and may be useful for directing and assessing the impact of quality improvement efforts.
Background and objective Clinical guidelines discourage antibiotic prescribing for many acute respiratory infections (ARIs), especially for nonantibiotic appropriate diagnoses. Electronic health record (EHR)-based clinical decision support has the potential to improve antibiotic prescribing for ARIs. Methods We randomly assigned 27 primary care clinics to receive an EHR-integrated, documentationbased clinical decision support system for the care of patients with ARIs -the ARI Smart Form -or to
Polycrystalline ordered double perovskite Sr2FeMoO6 bulk samples with grain size in the range of 29–45 nm have been synthesized at temperatures from 900 to 1000 °C, using a sol-gel method. We find that the intergrain magnetoresistance is closely correlated with the grain size. The sample with the grain size of 29 nm shows large magnetoresistance Δρ/ρ0, 30%–20% at a low magnetic field of 4 kG over a wide temperature range from 20 to 300 K. The results can be explained in terms of spin-dependent intergrain tunneling model.
This paper attempts to explain the competitive advantages of the small firm in the capabilities perspective. It begins by identifying the kinds of strategic assets possessed by small firms. It argues that entrepreneurship and a simple capital structure are the sources of dynamism for small firms. The relationship between the small firm's resources and its capabilities are then critically examined. In particular, the analysis focuses on the influences of strategic assets on the organizational flexibility ± a significant source of competitive advantage enjoyed by small firms. The competitive attributes of small firms are further discussed in terms of firm's internal and external capabilities. Finally, the relationship between the small firm's capabilities and the choice of technology strategies is examined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
