Boron-containing CDS-1 zeolite with CDO topology can be obtained from the layered borosilicate PLS-1 which was prepared from layered silicate H-LDS by dry-gel conversion. Pure crystals of [B]-PLS-1 can be formed in the range of Si/B ratio from ∞ to 280.
Layered germanosilicate crystalline of PLS-1 (designated as [Ge]PLS-1) is successfully synthesized from the mixture of an acidified kanemite (H-kanemite) and germanium oxide in the presence of tetramethylammonium hydroxide as an organic structure-directing agent. The amount of the installed germanium in the PLS-1 framework can be tunable in the range of Si/Ge ratio from 25 to 200. The topotactic dehydrative condensation process of interlayer's Q 3 silanol of [Ge]PLS-1 is subjected to yield the corresponding [Ge]CDS-1 zeolite bearing reasonable microporosity. The obtained [Ge]PLS-1 and [Ge]CDS-1 zeolite were characterized by powder-XRD, solid-state NMR, FE-SEM, TG-DTA and N 2 adsorption. Keywords Germanosilicate Á CDS-1 zeolite Á PLS-1 Á Kanemite Á Layered silicate
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
