This article examines the dominant agricultural model in Colombia of which the emergence of biofuels is an inevitable and major consequence. Some uncertainties and complexities of the introduction of biofuels and the use of genetically modified crops are analyzed, including a general reflection on the possibilities of producing biofuels on the basis of a model of ecological agriculture.
Este ensayo trata sobre el origen humano ligado a la tierra, la aparición de las primeras disputas en torno a su propiedad, su trasformación como objeto de producción y su inminente virtualización. Presenta a los nuevos actores transnacionales y, desde la perspectiva ambiental, los retos para el derecho y la ética implicados en las concepciones del suelo como ecosistema en sí mismo, como base de los ecosistemas terrestres y como recurso productivo.
