Survey volume of daily traffic for the planning and supervision of pavement road manually requires effort, time and cost is not cheap. Besides that, accuracy, and speed in getting the data are not timely, especially as real-time data. This study aims to get an intelligent survey model that will function to get daily traffic volume data automatically and in real-time, as well as its processing. The methodology used is to model the survey process by utilizing smart devices, microcontrollers, sensors, and the internet of things, as well as cloud and client-server programming. The survey process model can be divided into two parts, namely part one whose task is to collect vehicle data and part two to collect the axle load of each vehicle, then the data will be sent through an access point to the cloud, cloud data is taken from the access point at the data processing center on the server computer to done processing. The model generating information volume data traffic at speeds up to 67.4 Mbps, to accurately the data 98%, and the real-time and the results of data processing can be used as surveillance of pavement age.
This research was based on students' need in preliminary research which stated that most students (87%) need a new strategy in teaching and not all students have good achievements in reading texts (37.14%) in EFL classes. The writer used two-group, quasi-experimental, post test only design to investigate two techniques, i.e. "one stays the rest stray" and "lockstep" techniques, to increase students' achievements in EFL reading. Participants in this study included 61 college students who were taken as two intact groups. The result of statistical computations showed that the reading achievements of the experimental group increased and was significantly different from those of the control group. These students were able to have various competencies which might help keep students working on task, speaking orally, recalling the knowledge, summarizing the passage, and comprehending the text well and happily.Keywords: one stays the rest stray technique, lockstep technique, reading achievement, positive interdependence, individual accountability and interpersonal skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil penelitian pendahuluan yang menyatakan bahwa kebanyakan pemelajar (87%) membutuhkan strategi baru dalam pengajaran dan tidak semua pemelajar mempunyai kemampuan yang bagus dalam membaca teks (37,14%) di kelas bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing. Penulis menggunakan desain dua grup, kuasi-eksperimental dan post test untuk mengidentifikasi tehnik "one stays the rest strays" dan "lockstep" dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemelajar di kelas bahasa Inggris sebagai sebagai bahasa asing. Partisipan studi ini adalah 61 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi dua grup utuh. Hasil dari perhitungan statistika menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca grup eksperimen meningkat dan berbeda secara signifikan dari grup kontrol. This research report is aimed at developing competency based reading materials for English laboratory after it is proved that in preliminary research using 212 respondents from semester two to six and the reading teachers, it's turned out that they need them. Further more, the English Department has not found the right developing competency based Reading Materials for Laboratory English Subject (LRS) which are interesting and motivating yet. Here with, the writer suggests good materials (valid, reliable and economical) to be used in LRS given to enhance students' achievement in Reading. These materials have been tried out by the researcher four times and revised twice by experts in language and technology. From statistical point of view of T test, using the results of gain scores of pre-post test, it proved that the software and CD products which used native speakers' sound with various kinds of questions are good and are able to enhance students' reading achievement. The result of the T test also confirmed that students' achievement enhance 12% from the pre-test's achievement.
