OBJETIVO:
Identificar evidencias y tendencias de pronóstico de la pandemia de COVID-19, que apoyen la toma decisiones sobre su mitigamiento.
MATERIAL Y METODOS
Investigación evaluativa basada en estimación de evidencias y tendencias de pronóstico a través de la simulación computacional del modelo S.E.I.R. que clasifica a la población en 4 grupos: los susceptibles al contagio (S); los expuestos al contagio (E), los infectados (I) y los Recuperados/Fallecidos (R).
RESULTADOS
El peor escenario, sin intervención, se daría a principios de junio con R0=3 afectando a un 73.2% de la población. Ante medidas de mitigación el mejor ajuste es con Ro=2.2 (mitigación 37.2%), iniciando a finales de julio, afectando un 58.9% de la población,
CONCLUSIONES
Se sugiere un monitoreo y adecuación permanente de medidas de mitigación en las fases de transmisión sostenida. Se requiere una estrategia de distanciamiento social intermitente, que se activaría con el incremento de la tasa básica de reproducción R0.
