A Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA) é uma doença neurodegenerativa progressiva, também conhecida como a doença do neurônio motor, que afeta indivíduos na faixa etária entre 40 e 75 anos. Objetivo: Analisar as intervenções fisioterapêuticas do paciente com diagnóstico de Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica através de uma revisão bibliográfica. Métodos: Este estudo foi elaborado a partir de uma revisão da literatura nas bases de dados Medline, Scielo, PubMed e Lilacs de caráter exploratório e descritivo, no período de 2017 a 2021. Foram utilizados os descritores: “Esclerose Lateral Amiotrófica”, “Fisioterapia”, “Melhora da qualidade de vida”, relacionados também com seus sinônimos e termos semelhantes em inglês “Amyotrphic Lateral Sclerosis”, “Physiotherapy”, “Improvement in Quality of Life”. Resultados: Foram encontrados 29 artigos no total, 5 artigos foram selecionados para esta revisão, 24 artigos foram excluídos, 8 artigos pelo ano de publicação, 5 após a leitura completa, 6 por não abordarem a fisioterapia e 5 por terem uma abordagem de revisão de literatura. Discussão: A fisioterapia e a prescrição de exercícios desempenham papéis importantes na reabilitação desses pacientes, contudo a intervenção fisioterapêutica poderá incluir mobilizações, alongamentos, exercícios que melhorem a amplitude de movimento desses pacientes, bem como o tratamento das doenças respiratórias que surgem através da ELA. Conclusão: O tratamento desses pacientes vem melhorando ao longo dos anos, onde várias estratégias têm permitido melhorar a qualidade de vida e aumentar a sobrevivência desses pacientes.
