In this paper, we propose a suspended microstrip line covered with dielectric in the ground plate, so as to reduce the loss of the transmission line and apply it to THz transmission. After investigating the relation between the design parameters and the transmission loss, we obtain the optimal design parameters with a transmission loss 0.073dB/mm. It can be predicted that the improved structure may be an effective planar transmission line with good prospects for THz wave.
Abstract. In this paper, a novel hybrid structure of reflectarray with dielectric cylinder, metallic cylinder and metallic ground is designed. This structure can generate a pencil beam in a desired direction by adjusting its phase appropriately with its 1-dB gain bandwidth achieving 22.56%. Moreover, radiation patterns of the structure at different frequencies are in good consistency.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
