The child is the asset and successor of the ideals of the nation's struggle for the future. Children are entitled to service to develop the ability, and social life, by following per under the culture, and personality of the nation, to become good, and useful citizens. Children are entitled to maintenance and protection, while in the womb or after birth, and children are entitled to protection against the environment that endangers or hinders their growth and development. Child abuse comes in many forms. This study to find out the relationship between verbal violence and student’s learning achievement. We used descriptive quantitative correlation, cross-sectional, for instruments we used questionnaires for verbal violence. Data analysed was a bivariate test that used the chi-square test. Technic sampling used stratified random sampling with lottery technique based on student ID number amount 225 people. There is a significant relationship between verbal abuse and student learning achievement.
Promosi kesehatan jiwa merupakan upaya untuk mempertahankan kesehatan jiwa. Remaja menjadi sasaran promosi kesehatan jiwa mengingat tingginya prevalensi masalah kesehatan jiwa di usia ini. Bentuk promosi kesehatan jiwa yang dapat dilakukan pada remaja adalah manajemen emosi. Manajemen emosi penting bagi remaja sebab masa ini adalah masa pencarian identitas diri, selain itu masalah emosi dapat beresiko meningkatkan masalah kesehatan jiwa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja dalam mengelola emosi serta mencegah munculnya masalah gangguan emosi. Kegiatan dilakukan secara online melalui media zoom. Metode yang digunakan berupa pemberian edukasi kesehatan jiwa melalui ceramah, memberikan leaflet tentang cara mengelola emosi, diskusi serta tanya jawab diakhir kegiatan. Peserta juga mengisi pretest dan posttest. Jumlah peserta 40 orang remaja (12.5% laki-laki dan 87.5% perempuan), usia antara 15 – 21 tahun dengan pendidikan 75% adalah mahasiswa. Hasil dari kegiatan terjadi perubahan yang signifikan dari pengetahuan, dimana sebelumnya diberikan edukasi mean 35.75 dan setelah diberikan menjadi mean 81.00. Remaja harus mengenali penyebab perubahan emosi yang dialami, tidak membiarkan status emosi negatif menetap pada dirinya, melakukan usaha untuk mengatasi emosi negatif dengan cara yang efektif serta mempertahankan emosi yang positif.
Objective: Covid-19 pandemic is a non-natural disaster. Everyone, including children, becomes stressed, to prevent transmission of the virus, an adaptation of new habits is needed, so it is necessary to provide knowledge in the form of repeated education related to new normal adaptation to improve physical health. This is necessary so that the child's ability to apply the new normal adaptation is consistent. This new normal adaptation is a necessary step to determine the readiness of elementary school children to conduct limited face-to-face learningMethods: This article used a pre-experimental design, namely by means of a one-group pre-test-post-test design for 73 elementary school students in Bandung. The child is given a pre-test regarding the new normal adaptation and then a video is given about physical health that must be considered in the new normal adaptation, after which a post-test assessment is carried out. Bivariate Analysis Using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results of the study found that there was an influence before being given physical health education about covid-19 on the ability of elementary school students to implement the new normal adaptation. Conclusion: Researchers suggest parents and teachers to keep reminding their children to adapt to new habits.
