Afastamentos por transtornos mentais de servidores públicos de uma de uma instituição federal de ensino Removal from mental disorders of public servers of a federal education institution RESUMO Os Transtornos Mentais e Comportamentais (TMC) estão entre os agravos mais crescentes nos últimos anos e entre as principais causas de afastamentos do trabalho no Brasil. Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar os afastamentos do trabalho por TMC dos servidores do Instituto Federal do Tocantins nos anos de 2014 a 2018. Trata-se de um estudo, descritivo, retrospectivo e de abordagem quantitativa. Utilizou-se como base de informações, o Subsistema Integrado de Atenção à Saúde do Servidor (SIASS), a partir de análises das variáveis epidemiológicas e ocupacionais dos afastamentos dos servidores da instituição. Os resultados evidenciaram que a média de afastamento do trabalho por TMC foi de 31,3%, prevalecendo o grupo CID F40-48 e o CID F30-39, predominando o sexo feminino, a faixa etária entre 30 a 39 anos e o tempo na instituição entre 4 a 6 anos de trabalho. A categoria profissional não apresentou diferença estatística significativa para o número de afastamentos (p>0,05). Em relação a perda de dias de trabalhos os docentes apresentaram superioridade em relação aos TAE's. Espera-se que este estudo possa contribuir para a implementação de estratégias mais efetivas de cunho preventivo, de promoção e de reabilitação à saúde, no intuito de minimizar os afastamentos e suas recorrências decorrentes dos TMC na instituição.
