<p>Objetivo: Realizar um levantamento bibliográfico acerca do crescimento e desenvolvimento de prematuros e/ou com baixo peso ao nascer. Metodologia: Utilizaram-se as bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e ELO. Foram encontrados 64 trabalhos: 10 publicados em 2005, 10 em 2006, 12 em 2007, 16 em 2008, 8 em 2009 e 8 em 2010. As publicações situaram-se nas áreas da medicina (59,4%), nutrição (7,8%), enfermagem (7,8%), saúde coletiva (7,8%), psicologia (6,2%), epidemiologia (4,7%), fisiologia (3,1%) e fonoaudiologia (3,1%). Resultados: Os textos encontrados permitiram organizar o conhecimento produzido segundo as seguintes categorias de análise: Fatores associados ao baixo peso ao nascer/prematuridade. Repercussões do baixo peso ao nascer/prematuridade para o crescimento e desenvolvimento e medidas de prevenção e Sobrevida dos recém-nascidos prematuros e/ou de baixo peso. Conclusão: As crianças nascidas prematuramente e com baixo peso geralmente apresentam déficit de desenvolvimento. Um acompanhamento pós-natal focado no crescimento e desenvolvimento torna-se essencial.</p>
RESUMOO objetivo foi analisar o crescimento e desenvolvimento, entre os recém-nascidos de risco de Cuiabá, decorridos seis meses do nascimento, e a qualidade dos serviços na perspectiva das mães. Trata-se de estudo descritivo, de análise quantitativa, com 107 recém-nascidos de risco nascidos em Cuiabá-MT em janeiro de 2011, identificados a partir das Declarações de Nascidos Vivos. Os dados foram analisados pelo programa EpiInfo. Como resultado, 12,2% das crianças estavam com peso inadequado e 23,4% com déficit estatural; 25,2% apresentaram atraso no desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor; 92,9% das Cadernetas de Saúde da Criança estavam incompletas quanto ao peso, estatura, desenvolvimento, vacinação, dados do nascimento e obstétricos da mãe; a falta de profissional preparado para lidar com crianças, falta de estrutura e tecnologias foram relatados com frequência pelas mães. Faz-se urgente investimento em estrutura física e tecnologias, equipes multidisciplinares treinadas, reeducação das mães quanto à importância do crescimento e desenvolvimento bem como o adequado uso da caderneta de saúde da criança. The growth and development of newborns at risk, after six months of life: household survey ABSTRACTThe objective was to analyze the growth and development of newborns at risk, after six months from the birth, the fill of the Child's Health Book, and the quality of services from the perspective of mothers. It is descriptive study, of quantitative analysis, whit 107 newborns at risk born in Cuiabá-MT in January 2011, selected by the Statement of Live Birth. Data were analyzed using EpiInfo program. As result, 12,2% of the children were in inadequate weigh and 23,4% with height deficit; 27 children (25,2%) have delay on the neuro-psychomotor development; 92,9% of the child's health book were fill incomplete for weight, height, development, immunization, data of birth and mother's obstetric; the lack of prepared professional, lack of structure and technologies were reported with frequency by the interview mothers. The case needs urgent investment in physical structure and technologies, multidisciplinary trained teams, mother's re-education with the importance of child's health book and its adequate using.
